    What is your favourite programming language and why?

    My favourite is Java because I like way its based around OOP without being ridiculous about it. :slight_smile:

    I like C#. I don't know any of the others all that well but the syntax is similar to Java and allows me to use Visual Studio which is awesome.

    Depends on how low or high level one wishes to go= are you writing for a chip level, machine level- or a cloud level instance. After that- one has to look at a fork tree of- if they are choosing a favorite for elegance, utility, or what? Often- That Which One Does NOT at first think of as a lLanguage- Is.

    I took a paper at university about programming languages and part if it was learning the basics of about 6 languages. I really liked Haskell. My least favourite was an obscure language called 'io', it just made no sense at all.
