I've done two playthroughs. In the first one, I had a male avatar, but I didn't pair him up with anyone. In the second playthrough, I had a female avatar and I paired her up with Priam.
Priam so manly! ^_^ I don't know how many playthroughs I've done already but I think I remember pairing up with Olivia, Miriel, Lon'qu, and Chrom.
I played using a female avatar, still thinking I could somehow hit it off with another female character (Sully <3). Sadly no. So when it came to guys, I couldn't find a male character I was attached to that wasn't already paired up in the most perfect couple already. I was fine with my character being single but I wanted to get Morgan REALLY badly, so I just settled with Frederick. He was the only one I never leveled up because he had already came promoted and would waste EXP. I feel kind of bad looking back on it actually, because I had remotely no interest in him as a character. At least the "eating bear meat" conversations were cute...
nobody I just pair my avatar (who's a guy) up with Lon'qu, which is a pretty bad ass fighting combo in my opinion but ftr i'm still on my first playthrough of le game (though i'm pretty close to the end of it)
