Games I should have played (PS3). Recommendations?

    Hello everybody :slight_smile:

    I really like videogames and played a lot on PS2.
    Since around two years I have my PS3. But I have to say, that in this two years I haven't played that much... so for now I have to catch up on some good games I
    missed out :icon_bigg
    I'm so motivated and I know there are so many good games out there waiting for me...don't know where to start. (!)

    Do you have some recommendations for me?
    What should everyone with a PS3 have played? :slight_smile:

    To make it easier, here a list of games I have already
    played: Duke Nukem Forever, Dishonored, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, Army Of Two, Army Of Two: 40th Day, Army Of Two - Devils Cartell , Call Of Duty Black Ops, Call Of Duty Ghosts, Deadpool, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, The Last Of Us.

    Tales of Xillia and Tales of Graces f are both fantastic. There are also some good HD collections out if you missed them on PS2, most notably Kingdom Hearts HD, Final Fantasy X HD and the Metal Gear Solid HD collection. Also, Metal Gear Solid 4.

    Never heard of the first games you mentioned, but I will definitely watch some gameplay trailer :slight_smile:

    Final Fantasy isn't a type of game I like. Tried some for PS2 and don't really liked it.

    Metal Gear Solid is great. Played Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 but I felt just a bit too stupid for them :rolle:
    But ok, I should give it a shot on PS3, maybe I'm doing better this time :badgrin:
    So yeah, Metal Gear Solid 4 is now up on my to-do-list (!)

    I really enjoyed the god of war series, id start with the newest prequel ascension. But as corny as it will sound my all time favorite games to play on my ps3 are the ps1 cult clasics SPYRO I love those games for multiple reasons but mostly because me and my dad played them all the time together as a kid. Ps I'm homesick now but that's ok because I'm moving across country next month to be closer to folks yay!(!)

    So I'm guessing from your list you like FPS and RPGs?

    Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is my favourite FPS by some distance. 1, I'm actually alright at it :grin: and 2, the destructible terrain and vehicles make it awesomely fun in the right game. It's bigger maps and a little more tactical/objective-oriented than CoD typically is, and I prefer that style to CoD's in most cases. So for a slightly more tactical, slow-paced FPS multiplayer BC2 is my main suggestion. Having said that, BC2 is getting on since it was released in 2010 or so I think, so you might be better off with getting Battlefield 4, since that's much newer (more full servers) and it has bigger maps, more vehicles, shinier graphics etc (but I'm not sure how that is on PS3)

    The Walking Dead game (on PSN somewhere) is also a great singleplayer game. Like Heavy Rain, it's more a narrative with choices than a campaign so I think you'll like it. Gripping story at some points, and a few interesting decisions to make.

    You might also be interested in the InFamous series (openworld superpowered game), the Resistance series (alternate post-apoc 1950s with aliens) or Uncharted. And Mass Effect. And Arkham Asylum.

    I haven't gotten a new game for PS3 in several years (switched to 360) but I strongly second Metal Gear Solid. I'd never played a Metal Gear game before and it was amazing.

    I have an xbox 360....but I know some games also come on the PS3.

    If you haven't played Dragon Age: Origins: DO IT. Same with Skyrim. I also enjoyed the Soul Calibur series.

    Of course they had a couple of games you mentioned. After all I decided to start with InFamous and Far Cry 3 :icon_bigg

    I'd personally recommend GTA IV (& EFLC), GTA V, Just Cause II, Mafia II, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, NFS: Hot Pursuit, NFS: Most Wanted 2012, Saints Row: The Third, Blur, Call of Duty: World at War, Fallout: New Vegas & Red Dead Redemption.

    If you're a Gundam fan I would recommend "Gundam Crossfire"

    Some of the reviews are plain out hurtful to the game, but it has since become a cult success. it was released in 2006 (I think) and it is a rare find now a days.
