What was the first game you played? Mine was the Spiderman movie game. And do you still like that game?

Final Fantasy 7, i've yet to find another game that comes anywhere near the awesomeness of it.

The first game I've ever really played was Sonic Heroes, but if playing is defined as randomly hitting buttons and trying to stumble across the next plot point by blind luck since I couldn't read yet, then that honour would go to Final Fantasy X.

it was either some Spyro game, LOTR:FOTR, Miss Pac-man, Pong, Duck Hunt, SMB, SMB2, or SMB3

the first game I actually really got into though was definitely SMB3

My brother had a gameboy advance and I would play Donkey Kong Country on it when I was really young

If talking computer, I have no idea, but it would certainly have been something that ran on the RadioShack TRS-80 Model 3 computer, which my junior high school used in the computer lab.

If talking board game, probably either Cat and Mouse or Peanut Butter & Jelly.

Earliest memories were Super Mario World and Kirby's Dream Land

My brothers were born in the late 80s-mid 90s, so I have vague/vivd memories of Super Mario 64, Sonic 3, and Kirby's Dreamland, etc., but the first one I remember making an effort at beating (instead of just mashing buttons and reading words) was either Sly Cooper or Luigi's Mansion. Still love all those games! First (and last) rental was Starfox Adventures (I feel almost alone in saying that I really disliked that game :/). First purchase was Pikmin and Spongebob Squarepants: Supersponge (both were very...lackluster).

I do have a strangely vivid memory of seeing/playing Starfox 2 (a bizarre walking Arwing careeening over featureless green area sticks out especially strong in my mind) which is incredibly odd when you consider the fact that, AFAIK, the game was scrapped just before it was to be released (although a playable ROM did manage to leak out onto the net a few years ago). I must've had either had a bafflingly great opportunity or a really strange imagination

One of my cousins who is about 10 yrs older than me gave my brother and I his Nintendo when I was 6-7. It was the original Nintendo with the rectangle controllers. So the first game I played was super mario & duck hunt(with the gun). We also had double dragon. I loved playing those games, even years later I would take it out of the box and play them for a bit. One summer my brother sold everything, the console the controllers the games and the gun for duck hunt. He sold it all for $10 at a garage sale, and it all still worked!!!

I still bring it up too this day & I still haven't forgiven him for selling it.

Computer: I think it was Earl Weaver baseball via floppy disk.

Handheld: This very difficult to play baseball game. It took me several months to win a single game. I think it came out in 89 or something.

Other Nostalgic games: Road Rash(played this with good friends) with the cops chasing you. I think that was the original Nintendo. Loooong time ago. Home Alone for the Game Gear. VR Baseball for the original Playstation.

It was a while ago, but I remember playing Pac-Man on an Atari 2600, so that could have been first. My memory serves better with NES, though.

    Loved that game.

First game i remember playing was a Simpsons game on the saga megadrive... Can't remember for the life of what what it was called though... As for still liking it, not played it in a large number of years. :')

I keep forgetting that a lot of people are younger on this site, so when i see 'first game i played was super mario sunshine' I get a little confused. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

The first Jak wasn't too bad, but Jak 2 was so punishingly difficult. Fun as can be, but I nearly snapped a controller on a number of occasions playing this one lol.
