so i bought sims 3 for my dsi. and u know what i discovered? you can't be gay in the game. wtf?! really pissed off right now...seething, actually. :tantrum:
Dosen't Sims usually allow homosexual relationships? If Nintendo truly is to blame, they are shooting themselves in the foot. How is this "more inclusive in the future"?
It's not Nintendo, it's EA. The sims for NDS is one of the worst games I've ever played. Not being able to be gay is the least of that game's problems.
I'm hoping Nintendo starts showing a little more diversity in their games....I still love the company though! hopefully their next Tomodachi life game will have gay couples.....tbh I think it's more of a matter that they feel they might lose a lot of a younger audience which I really don't think is something they should worry about because the only people who might stop playing are the kids of homophobic parents....that said I think more representation of lgbt people in games will make people more accepting edit: this is a dsi game as well though so it's probably a few years old, it may be a bit different if it was for the 3ds perhaps? even then there have been other nintendo games that do feature lgbt characters, except they are always changed when they are taken to North America and stuff...
PC version targeted at the English Speaking countries mainly. DS version targeted at Japan, where same-sex relationships tends to be less open than the west/UK/etc. They apologized for not including same sex couples in Tomodachi Life, and said if they make another one, they'd make sure to make it inclusive.
That's not fair But I guess they didn't want to be screamed at by a bunch of homophobic parents and other adults? It isn't fair, but that's the only reason why I think they'd do such a thing. I'm glad that the apologized and that they'll have it in the newer versions .
i always stick to the pc version but it dosent suprise me it's nintendo....after all they stuffed up tomadachi life though they did apologize and people still keep making a big deal out of it.
