Any Flight simmers here? I myself play IL-2 Sturmovik and Flight sim X. I would use DCS or BMS, but my PC can't handle it.
I fly some on FSX. I'll fully admit that I'm not very good. The furthest flight I've completed was from Miami, Florida to St. Maarten in a downloaded 757.
I wish they added people on the beach, just flying away. But yeah, commercial flying is fun, but flying a stuka is even better in my opinion.
I'm still on FS9 because I don't have a desktop for FSX and I don't want my video card getting fried. I have about 13GB worth of add on A/C...
I had a flight simulator game on my PC when I was like 13-14. I was able to fly from Atlanta to San Francisco, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. San Francisco is tough because you have to fly over the water upon approach to landing, and you don't want to hydroplane or anything. Also, the mountains make it a little tough too.
I fly Prepar3d, which is basically an updated version of Microsoft Flight Simulator X by Lockheed Martin. I also have a lot of add on scenery by ORBX.
I love flight sims, but don't play any currently. The closest I come is Kerbal Space Program with an advanced aerodynamics mod, because its stock flight physics are very basic. It's a game where talented pilots/engineers can build a plane (or anything else really) and fly it through all levels of the atmosphere and optionally into space. I can't praise it enough.
