There aren't many more difficult questions in life than this!!!!!!!

I'd say GTA:SA is actually up there in top top 5

Metal GEar Solid 4 is up there...Final Fantasy VI, VIII, X are up there. Super Mario World & Galaxy are up there.

    I can't pick one :frowning2:

I have a huge number of 'favorite' games but I really love the Fire Emblem Series.

Oh my favorite would be Skyrim. Not only because of the orgasmic quality of the games but the sheer amount of work put into it, and because you can marry other men. I have never seen gay marriage in a game before or since (i could be wrong), and to me that makes it much more valuable.

    Dovah.

I have played so many... I'd probably say The Sims 2 , Sonic 3, Sonic Adventure, or Mario Galaxy. And of course Pong, the most complex and emotional game ever made.

Before I give my answer, I just want to say... I have only encountered one other person, who even knows about Ecco the Dolphin. This, good sir, places you in a unique and special category. That said, however, I was not much a fan of the games past the SEGA Genesis era. To this day, the original Ecco the Dolphin, and it's sequel, Tides of Time, are my favorite in the series. The first, for it's bleak and lonely atmosphere and story, and the second, for it's depth and sense of loss. Very beautiful games.

My all-time favorite game is, as of typing this, Tales of Symphonia (Nintendo Gamecube). An excellent story, a great soundtrack, an enjoyable battle system, fascinating worlds and characters, and great lessons on racism/classes and life. It starts off a little goofy and slow, and it can fool you, but trust me, it really picks up.

Before this, it was either Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, or Final Fantasy VI.

San Andreas was a good game, but I'd have to say final fantasy 7 would have to be at or near the top of the list. I remember owning this game when it first came out and playing it for days and days. I actually bought several copies because as a teenager I hadn't learned to take care of my disks yet and kept screwing them up. There are many games I could say I played and loved back then so why this one?

Through the years I have bought /played many games I used to love and let's face it, most were better memories than the games turned out to be. Well about a month ago I noticed FF7 on playstation network for a whopping $10 so I bought it. The graphics were polygons and showed the age of the game but overall the game is still beautiful. The story (most of the fine details forgotten) was as captivating as any modern game and unlike most modern games that can be beat in a day or two this game kept me interested and longing to play it for a week. I have played through it 3 times and am 75% through a 4th. This game is approximately 15 years and three generations of consoles old. If you were to polish the graphics a bit and correct some of the typographical errors in the text (possibly add voices instead but not required) this game would still stand toe to toe with anything on the market today.

If that doesn't place a game right near the top of being GOAT I don't know what does!

  10. I'm going to sound old but for me I'd have to say Super Mario Bros. 3 on NES!

    Thats a tough one!!!!!!!!!

I would say the one that pops into my mind the most is the original Myst and Riven games.

Probably the need for speed and age of empires franchises as well.

    It's a tie between BioShock 2 and Left 4 Dead 1.
