The hardest game I've ever played is Weaponlord for the SNES. It's a fighting game that is actually really fun. It's also ungodly hard. Even on the easiest difficulty, it took me 5 freaking hours practicing (I counted) in 2 player mode to get good enough to beat the game with one character. It's the only time I've ever thrown a game.

Possibly Fable II. There's just SO much to do for that game and to complete the game 100%. It wasn't hard for the fact that it was difficult to fight people/advance to the next level, but rather it was hard to find all the hidden stuff and secret things that go along with the game.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, for the Nintendo Entertainment System. That fucking underwater level, with the timer, and the electric seaweed.

Probably Wizardry 6 or 7. Both games are very unforgiving of mistakes.

Two worlds... oh my god. Get out of that old castle or whatever it was and you don't know where to go, try to head through the field and you come across wolves, run away from them (because fighting is impossibly hard) and you'll come across orcs or other unfriendly humans.Run from THEM and you'll end up at where you started. And the people never give up. It's a vicious cycle.

Where the Wild Things Are for the DS and Kung-Fu Panda for the XBOX 360? :icon_redf All of the games that I play are supposed to be hard, but then they're super easy like COD: Black Ops 2 and Mario Kart 7.

Hearts of Iron 3 by Paradox. I've played plenty of Paradox's grand strategy games including: CK2, EU3, EU4, EU Rome, and Victoria 2. All have a learning curve and are at least have a certain degree of complexity. Hearts of Iron 3, however, takes that complexity to a whole new level. If your looking for an incredibly complex game this is the one.

I don't know about a whole game but in Day of Reckoning 2 there is a match in the storyline that makes you fight for the Intercontinental title in a fatal 4-way steel cage match, and the game's stamina system made this match easily 10 times harder than it normally would have been. It took me I can't remember how many tries, but I ended up throwing my wavebird wireless controller across the room twice before I finally beat it.

Civilization (first one) on Emperor. Got good enough to usually win anyways. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Every war was a slaughter if you didn't have absolute tech superiority.

Crusader kings 2 isn't a particularly hard game once you understand the basic mechanics and how everything works together but until then it's pretty opaque the way I learned it was watching a series of it on youtube before seriously starting to play. It helps so much to just see everything in action.

Ghost N' Goblins on NES. One hit and your knight in his underwear. Two hits and he's a skeleton. And the game throws a TON of monsters at you.

CK II For sure. I just got it a few days ago. My most recent attempt as an Irish count ended horribly. My Father died at the age of 28 due to natural causes. Leaving me to rule through a regent that hated my ugly face. One night while looking through the bars of my crib, one of my Matrons approached me with cold eyes. Holding a pillow. My only choice was to click the text box that said "Gaga?. . ." It didn't end well. . .
