First of all, yes I still have a PS2.

So I was wondering.. If you guys know any good games for it (or the PS1 maybe, since the games are compatible) I don't have many games and seriously need more.

I don't like puzzle solving too much, I like continuous action. I like open worlds

    Any suggestions?

SHADOW OF THE COLLOSUS! It basically has you traversing this huge, atmospheric open world to fight giant monsters with just your sword, bow, and horse. It's seriously one of the best games of all time. As far as PS1 games go, I'd say for you to try the original Spyro trilogy (NOT THE PS2 GAMES STAY FAR AWAY DEAR GOD). It's a really fun platformer series that has you exploring open ended worlds. Plenty of action. The Devil May Cry (1-3 all on PS2) series is good too if you want a straight up crazy action game with a badass main character. You may like Jak and Daxter. I personally don't like them, but I know a lot of people do. 2 and 3 is radically different from the first one and features gunplay, vehicles, a darker story and open world exploration in addition to the platforming of the original. Ratchet and Clank is just a totally bananas 'HERE'S A BUNCH OF CRAZY GUNS NOW BLOW SHIT UP' type game. If you're even remotely interested in JRPG's, play Persona 4. One of my favorite games of all time.

Hey I still have my PS2 ;3 and a pretty vast collection of PS2 and PS1 games! Have you tried the .hack// series? The games are a little hard to find but its such an interesting story! It depends though, I mostly go for RPG's what kind of games do you like?

I second Ashe on Shadow of the Colossus. It's probably my favorite game of all time so far. It's kind of puzzle-y but mostly just trying to find the best strategy. Kingdom Hearts is also great (it's a JRPG). Great storyline, great gameplay, great music, etc. Though, be warned, if you decide you like it, there are many other titles in the KH franchise that you would have to play if you wanted to know the rest of the story. Ōkami is amazing, with beautiful music and amazing art direction, but it's action-adventure, so there's a fair amount of easy puzzles.

I don't really know any open world games, but the games I liked were:

    Kingdom Hearts
    Xenosage series
    Disgaea series
    Tales of Legendia
    Tales of the Abyss

You should play Oni. I fucking love that game, both on the PS2 and the PC. Seriously, just search "Oni Gameplay" on YouTube. It's awesome IMO.

You cannot go wrong with time splitters, I still play it regularly with my friends after almost 8 years! I have yet to find a game that has stayed fun and engaging for so long.

Also Bully, or canis canem edit as it is known in the UK is another excellent game, think of it as gta in a school.

I loved the PS2... I have one and still play it from time to time. Some of my favorites, off the top of my head:

    Xenosaga 1 and 3
    Persona 3 and 4
    Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4
    Siren
    Rule of Rose

Tales of the Abyss and Kingdom Hearts were already suggested, but I'll say them again for emphasis because they are great games.

The Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors series was pretty good in its PS2 days.

I still have PS2 as well. It has aged incredibly well.

    I recommend:
-Ratchet and Clank 1,2 and 3. 4 only if you're a fan. All have continuous action.
-Star Wars: Starfighter. It's a space flight simulator pretty much but has a lot of action.
    -SOCOM
-Need for Speed. If you enjoy racing of course.
-Tekken Tag Tournament. If you like fighting games.
-Any Crash Bandicoot game. If you like action then Crash of the Titans.

    For PS1.
-Star Wars: Dark Forces. Terrible graphics but graphics don't make a good game.

Game to avoid if you dislike puzzles:
-Super Monkey Ball Adventure. It is so hard and is just one giant puzzle world. I can't even get past the second level.

Jak II, and Crash Bandicoot. Also Ratchet and Clank: Dreadlocked. Played them all, enjoyed them all. If anyone else said these (I skimmed lol), then I second them with it.
