My laptop has Intel and Nvidia so that's what I use. It's always been Nvidia for me. My dad's old-old computer really struggled towards the end of it's life, so despite my sister and mother complaining about the noise it made, we decided to put a Nvidia graphics card into it just for fun. Good times...
Intel processors are the best, as of writing this. Regardless whether it's for work or games. AMD graphics on the other hand, are somewhat better than what NVIDIA offers at the moment, especially in the 4k multiple displays area. Add to that the fact that they are also somewhat cheaper, i can't honestly recommend NVIDIA gpu's. Also, AMD is easier to clock. NVIDIA does have some nice cards though, for encoding and similarly demanding tasks.
I voted AMD/nVidia, because those poor people need love. AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition/EVGA nVidia GTX GeForce 460 was the best budget computer I ever built, and people should not be mean about AMD processors. They are superb value, and decent performance too. Sure, you can always spend another $300 to enter enthusiast class or $700 for extreme class, but why? Now that I have a good paying job, I paid $575 for my i7-2600K, and another $580 for my EVGA nVidia GTX GeForce 580. But the problem for me now is that I have to pay $500-$600 for new hardware that's only 30-40% better than what I have now that already runs my stuff just fine. All I care about gaming and cryptography, and at the level I'm at with those things, I don't require some wizbang Intel monster. (Crysis is stupid can die in a fire, and nobody is factoring an RSA 2048 modulus or solving the elliptic-curve discrete logarithm problem in anything less than 2^256 operations.)
Intel (core i5) and NVIDIA (GeForce). Why? Becuase it was convenient at the time but if I was to choose now or I was custom building a PC then I would probably go with Intel and AMD gpu.
Didn't really specify. My laptop has an Intel i7-4700 and a Nvidia GeForce GT 755M which I've very slightly overclocked.
Intel with AMD/ATI graphics. Intel by choice, ATI because it's the second hand card my gf gave me for free. Ideally I like Nvidia cards better.
Yes it does, because they are cheaper... and there is a reason for that. Remember back in the day how i5's were faster than phenom 2? Why do you think that was? Considering the latter ran at higher clock speeds and had more cores? Same thing with the new gen processors. Intel is simply, better. (」゜ロ゜)」 And you suddenly became more awesome! (*^3^)/~♡ On a side note... *goes looking for cane* Remember those old 3dfx cards? Those were fun, to hook up in pairs! (*≧▽≦)ノシ))
Nvidia has better drivers that don't install bloatware on your machine amd are $100 cheaper for the equivilant gt(x/s) card. And never really had expirence with amd cpus outside my low end single core laptop
It isn't much, just enough to give me an extra 5fps on a benchmark set to max-res, up from an average of 27fps to just over 30. I remember that one of my dad's computers had them. Ohh, boy that was a while ago(*hug*)
