I'm playing this game right now, and I died at one of the dungeon bosses. It appears like I have to redo the ENTIRE temple, because the only way to save is to find one of those statues outside. Is this really true, or am I being stupid?
I dunno, I've not played it. Wise words. I will hopefully get it... Maybe... After I get link to the past... And metroid fusion and fire emblem and pokemon and pokemon and pokemon and pokemon and metroid zero mission and maybe the prime trilogy and castlevania and castlevania and... I could go on. I have alot of games I'd like... I'd also like an NES, an SNES, a N64 and maybe a gamecube. #totallynotanintendofan4life*pauses*haha*pausesagain*toaaatttally
No, that's the truth. It's a kinda frustrating mechanic. Good game, bad method of saving. It was one of it's pitfalls for me.
One of the fallbacks, I'm afraid! That's why I usually wind up going back outside to save whenever I've finished a puzzle, as irritatingly time consuming as that is.
Wow, that's a dealbreaker Great game so far, but that's beyond annoying! I couldn't go out to save before the boss, it was in the Thieves hideout, and the door out had closed... Thanks tho, at least I didn't miss something
I'm slowly working my way through it but I haven related for a few days since I'm massively stuck. So yeah.
Really?? I never played. But I know Majora's Mask if you died, you didn't have to redo the puzzles in the temple, but you did get sent to the beginning, if I recall correctly. I'm surprised this is not the case in this game? Sounds annoying. I can see the merit in not being able to save whenever you want to make a game more challenging, but it had more drawbacks then benefits... imo... (A link between worlds is a zelda game right??)
I haven't played the game in almost a year, but I vaguely remember that as you advance through a dungeon at certain points (usually after the mini-boss) you will be able activate teleporation tiles of varying colors (green, blue and red if I remember correctly) that will appear at the entrance of the dungeon and will teleport you to the respective sections of the dungeon with the matching tile. I think you only have to activate the teleportation tiles once and they will always remains there (regardless of whether you save afterwards or not), supposedly to save you some of the trouble of going through the whole dungeon again. Thieves' Hideout is a bit different I believe, given that half of it is basically an escort mission and you can't really skip rescuing Thief Girl (or whatever her npc name was). ---------- Post added 7th Dec 2014 at 05:37 PM ---------- Yes it is. Nintendo catering to the Dark Souls crowd now with these saving mechanics (JUST KIDDING I know A Link To The Past did it first).
