Okami. Exceptional game with amazing charm and spectacular art style and soundtrack. If anybody asks me to prove that video games are art I basically just point at Okami and say "pretty much that."

Persona 4. I love the story and themes of identity and "true self". The characters are awesome. The music is fantastic. And it's a lot of fun to play.

Runner ups being Persona 3, Metroid Prime, and Tales of Vesperia.

See, the problem I have with this thread is....how can I pick ONE SINGLE favorite game when there are so many genres, so many consoles? It's just not plausible. :]

It can vary greatly, right now however it is safe to say that my favorite is Skyrim. Has been for quite a while.

Asking a gamer for a favorite game is akin to asking a parent which is their favorite child.

That said the games that affected me the most were Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2, Mass Effect, (Bioware you magnificent bastard XD) Morrowind, Minecraft (however limited and fleeting the feelings they are strong) and, believe it or not, Kerbal Space Program. No game has been as successful in getting my heart pumping, and it does it without even having a bad guy.

    "I cannot do that, Dave."

Seriously, that's a hard question to answer. So I'll answer it like this!

Best RPG, the Mass Effect trilogy.

Best shooter, Borderlands. Specifically Borderlands 2 & Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

    Best action-adventure, the Uncharted series.

Best survival horror, The Last of Us.

Honourable mention, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Mine has to be the Xenosaga series. With Xenosaga 3 as my favorite. I liked the battle system in Xenosaga 2. Xenosaga 1 for the minigames.

Just got Xenogears and I hear people say it's better than Xenosaga but I just started so we shall see.

Ah yes. Persona 4 is my runner up. Put over 800 hours into that game. Love it. Tales of Vesparia is great as well. Great battle system and Troy Baker's sexy voice!

Don't have a Wii, but as a lover of the Xeno titles... I want to play.

And thrid place winner's must go to... Fatal Frame II: The Crimson Butter Fly (Director's Cut) and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. (So expensive. Even on ebay a used copy goes for over $70.)

OMG I completely forgot about Fire Emblem! Yes! Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn... They are right up there with the rest.

I played a bit of the first of the first Fatal Frame. But that's it for that series. I do want to pay more though.

And yeah. Troy Baker's voice is very cool, lol. Yuri is one of those characters I can't imagine with a different voice. If they ever replace him in a future apearance (if it happens) I'll be sad. (I feel the same way about Raven, but they did replace him in the movie... Oh well, he was only a cameo)

Funny you should mention Yuri Lowell. This will shed more light on this subject.

So difficult to think, I've got so many series of games I love.

Mass Effect series, Final Fantasy series (in particular 8, 10 & 14), I love the Tekken series. The Last Of Us is amazing. The Sid Meiers Civilization games are great and along the same lines of that I really enjoyed Xcom: Enemy Unknown.

I feel like I'm listing too many games now. So I'll stop now...

    Mario Kart 8 as well...
