Hey anyone here play fighters? I've been really into Guilty Gear and the new JoJo recently. I also adore Skullgirls.
I need to try the new JoJo. I'm not a huge fan of fighters, but C2 just..... They really know how to make fighters. I mean I hate Naruto but I will play the Ultimate Ninja Storm games because they're just so good.
I hardly get to play Smash, but I've gotten to try the newest one. I haven't gotten the chance to really figure out the new characters and I think some characters might be a different tier this time around. Street Fighter is one of my faves, but it seems like I play Capcom vs SNK and Marvel way more than I play Street Fighter.
I'm not all that great with fighters. But I like the classics. -Street Fighter -Tekken 2 -Bloody Roar 2 (I was god at this game) -Tekken 4 -Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 1-3 -Super Smash Bros. Melee -Arcana Heart (SO damn hard) -InuYasha: Feudal Combat -Soul Caliber 2: The Gamecube release -The Bouncer (More of a brawler than a fighter) -Way of The Samurai (it's an adventure game but once you get into the combat, then it's a side screen fight. Well kind of.) -Naruto: Ninja Storm (I suck at this game... but it was good) -Ehrgeiz - (Yay, Final Fantasy fighting.) -Dissidia: Final Fantasy (Okay, okay. Final Fantasy Action the way it was supposed to be) -Marvel vs. CAPCOM 2. (How could I miss that one. I should be ashamed)
Me and my friend used to play DBZ: Budokai 3 every day for months. I bought the HD edition but didn't find it as fun when I had nobody to play it with.
Most fighters are like that TBH. That's part of the reason I've been playing Jojo and Guilty Gear a lot, they just came out so me and my friends are playing it a lot since it's new.
Not big on fighting games. But I love Smash Bros. Soul Calibur is kinda fun too. These are the only ones I ever actually have someone to play with. But even on my own, I sunk so many hours into Final Fantasy Dissidia. I also kinda enjoy Tekken and Dead or Alive. I played a little bit of Persona 4 Arena, and enjoyed that too.
I'm not great at them, but I do really like fighting games. I've been playing a lot of the new Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U recently. I'm also pretty tempted to pick up the new Guilty Gear. I'm especially bad at Guilty Gear games, but I just love the characters and art style.
As I am playing exclusively on PC, I do not have much access to fighting games. For the time being I enjoy Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and BlazBlue, but have also played SC IV when I still had a console. I wish more PS3 games were ported to PC. For example, Dead or Alive, that is interesting.
I'm a huge fan of Soul Calibur. I main Nightmare and that's it. I only play other characters if I'm messing around. I also like Mortal Kombat 9. Reptile is my main and Sektor is my sub. I can't wait for Mortal Kombat X. I've also played Blazblue games (Hakumen, Carl), Arcana Heart 3 (I've forgotten), Persona 4 Arena (Shadow Labrys), Tekken 6 (Devil Jin), Darkstalkers: Resurrection (B.B. Hood), Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (Sentinel/Akuma/Vergil and some better combinations I've forgotten), and I'm forgetting plenty games. And some Wrestling games which are usually great fun. I've played a lot of bad fighting games that aren't really worth mentioning such as Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetals. I've played Akuma in some Street Fighter games. That's right, I'm that annoying player spamming you with fireballs! I think they increased the recovery time in an update though. In an earlier game of the series, thought Garuda's moves at least looked very cool. He makes spikes come out of his body and I thought that was the shit when I was a kid. I also liked Bushido Blade back in the day. No health bars and characters can die from one hit. I played a little Guilty Gear (thr first one) and I thought it was pretty difficult. It's nice of them to remind me of the moves inbetween fights though! How skilled I am really depends on the game, and how much time I devote to it. I used to be good at Super Smash Bros Melee. I didn't quite get so much into Brawl, but I know they've since found unofficial fixes for tripping. I haven't played the new Smash game.
I grew up on fighting games! I've played so many that I can't remember all of them. I'd say the most noteworthy ones are: - Project Justice - Soul Calibur/Soul Calibur II - Persona 4 Arena - Tatsunoko vs. Capcom - Capcom vs SNK/Capcom vs SNK 2 - Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike - Power Stone/Power Stone 2 - SSBM and SSB Brawl - Spawn: In the Demon's Hand
I was fan of Marvel vs series and X-Men series on arcade machines. Marvel Super Heroes (Captain America) X-Men: Children of the Atom (Cyclops or Psylocke) X-Men vs Street Fighter (Storm/anyone) Marvel SH vs Street Fighter (Cycke/Cap) Marvel vs Capcom (Captain Commando/Captain America or Gambit) Those were my favorite games/characters I beat the game/others. I still play them on PC thanks to emulators. While I am midly terrible at it I also enjoy Rival Schools... had/have a crush on Roy :icon_redf While I was terrible at following games I enjoyed watching while my friends played it Darkstalkers Mortal Kombat Samurai Showdown
Funnily enough, considering that my main in marvel and Capcom vs snk is morrigan, I haven't actually played darkstalkers. Also I played a little bit of Arcana heart, it was pretty okay.
Oh yeah, I used to play Brawl on Tournament level. I didn't place high, but I wasn't last. I've placed alright in a Soul Calibur 3 tournament as well, though I question if my opponents in it are people whom I should brag about defeating.
I play quite a few fighters. Tekken, Street Fighter, MvC, Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur. I also enjoy Darkstalkers. Dead or Alive is frowned upon, but DOA2 was the first fighter I ever played and was the first video game that really got me into gaming. So, I have to like that series.
I love Smash Bros! Not really into fighting games much otherwise. Though I did have fun playing Naruto Clash of Ninja 2 when I was a kid. Oh yeah, and Guilty Gear's soundtrack is godly.
