Looking for a nice lengthy single player game to play on my new ps4 before bloodborne hits, decided to give the assassin's creed franchise another 'stab' (haha get it......sorry). But this begs the question.....which game is better? The infamous Unity or the more last-gen-ish AC 4 Black flag?
There is no such thing nowadays. I miss the old RPGs @Seriously: I didn't play Unity yet (i even asked about it a few days ago here in the forum), but i just finished Black Flag. It isn't a great game, it isn't revolutionary, but it is quite fun and certainly worth the price. If you already played AC, it isn't going to surprise you, but, if you know what to expect, it isn't dissapointing either. In resume, it is fun, and i can recommend it. I had the expected amont of fun with Black Flag.
Thanks, I'm close to finishing ac1 for ps3 . And black flag is $30 for a new copy on ps4 at ebgames for me...might pick it up next week
Black Flag no contest. It's a great game if you want to be a pirate, except for when it gets interrupted by the totally shoehorned-in stealth segments.
It's Assassin's Creed, what did you expect? That's like saying you bought Battlefield and like it except for shooting people.
I would go for Black Flag only because I think they're STILL working out the issues with Unity's broken...ness.
Black Flag. I think that generally every AC game after AC2 is shit, but Black Flag was slightly better. Second best game in the series according to me, if only for the naval part. Always loved sailing in games, that's why Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game.
Agreed about AC3 but AC2 Revelations was enjoyable imo. Brotherhood was shit but Revelations was pretty good. I actually tbh hated the sailing in BF. Yet loved it in WindWaker.
Personally Revelations was the final drop for me. It was more of the same except the addition of a hookblade that allowed you to grab ledges a foot higher and a terrible, terrible tower defense mini game. Fucking hell, christmas has come early.
Both are great games, but Black Flag is radically different to the others mainly cause you are a pirate, but I really liked the co-op in Unity but I felt that I got through the campaign much quicker than Black Flag.
