I've watched most of the current Anime. Favorite is Attack on Titan. First one to really grab me since highschool, probably.

But the Anime that I watched most recently was actually a movie. And wow. Let me tell you. You should all give it a chance. It's called Omae Wa Umasou (You are Umasou); it's a 2010 story about dinosaurs. It's heartwarming, incredibly sad, deceptively deep, and is enthralling in a way that I never could have expected from something that looks the way it does. It looks like it should be a feature for children, but it's really not. It's complex and gets better as the story draws on. The action is great, the humor is great, and it's just completely unexpected as to the awesome that comes out of it. I urge you to have a watch if you can. I don't think it's well-known and I'd love for it to gain some more following. It's set to have a sequel as well and I can't wait! The movie as it stands runs about an hour and a half. c:

I'm currently rewatching Shippuden with my husband since he hasn't caught up. We'll binge watch until we get to the "end", and then do it all over again.

Also, I just started Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken last night.

Aahh. The question we've all been wondering since Season 1 ended. There are a lot of theories floating around about Season 2. There was supposed to be one, but due to circumstances it obviously hasn't been finished. For all I know it hasn't even been started.

One theory is that production was paused when the disasters hit Japan back in 2011. I, however, don't necessarily buy into that. It's lacking in substance. The more likely case is that one of the writers is lending his time and attention to another of his more popular manga. The demand is higher for it, therefore he gets pressed to complete those works by his publisher before anything else. What does manga have to do with the anime? Well they need more story line to work with. Plain and simple.


Bottom line. I still think there is hope for Season 2 of HOTD, but I'm not hanging on to the edge of my seat waiting for it. I stopped that a loooong time ago. It'll come out or it won't. If it doesn't, whatever. If it does....Oh. Yes.

It's not the first or last anime/manga to go through this. So...meh.

 

I've been on-and-off re-watching Soul Eater and Black Butler (seasons 1-2), and the only anime I'm really watching continuously is Monster. I'm going to start watching Gunkutsuo: The Count of Monte Cristo, Black Lagoon, Hellsing, and The Black Swordsman once I have time.
