Depending on original forums hate-wave I am surprised Liara probably one of the most liked characters in here. Tali, Garrus and Liara all saved their graces on 3rd game for me. Liara hurt by first game's weird... nearly emotionless voice acting style. If she were on second game I would love her more I bet. Second game helped to make Tali and Garrus more fleshed out characters. I couldn't warmed up to 3 people along the game series... Ashley, Vega and Jacob. Most memorible moments of my every suicide missions includes Jacob, his face and a missile.
I haven't got time to think of my entire top ten but I'll quickly chime in to say I loved Garrus! He'd definitely be my number 1. You're not alone, White Knight. Liara irritated me... with her wide-eyed, innocent blue-headed ways.
I like Liara okay. She was just annoying/useless at the first game. She was like "Oh my mother died? Sorry I didn't realize". Way underdeveloped than ME 3 one who shares one of the best moments in game with Shepard, kick ass biotic and best friend to my shepard. I must confess I never talked with Tali in first game... Only talked with Wrex, Garrus and Kaidan during that game... Hmm and with Ashley if that counts: Shepard: I will go get Kaidan Ashley: You did the right thing Commander Shepard: I know. Just shut up and die. :badgrin: In any case first games seperate save conversations really hurt the general atmosphere of the game... and very bad visual direction. ME 2 made everything better. Writing team probably more adept at passing information and emotions with fewer words and more cinematic/visual displays. Miranda's tears when she doubts to face her sister, Mordin's doubt when facing female krogan, Jack's unstable condition during Pragia and Thane's regret for what he did for Kolyat more visible...touching than any emotional display of ME1. That made those characters more likeable. Okay this is last message because writing here makes me want to play ME again and I can talk about ME for a very very looong time.
