So basically, what is the most frustrating game you have every played? I have a bit of a problem with getting quite angry with certain games and im sure im not alone :/.

Is there one game above all those you have played that just makes you feel like throwing the controller at the screen (or just angry)?

Also, is there one occasion/moment/level etc in a game that you remember getting so mad with?

The one game that I get so angry with is Fifa (all of them). Almost half of that rage probably comes from the EA servers. The amount of times your team doesnt do what you want them to do is ridiculous. For a level I remember shouting quite badly on a level on Lost planet 2 where you have fight a boss on a train, it felt really difficult at the time.

I have a number of them. Most of them aren't exactly endeared to me, but some are.

#1: Call of Duty 4. The only CoD that I have ever played and probably ever will, is just insanely difficult and frustrating, but SO FREAKING FUN. That doesn't stop me from almost pi$$ing myself with rage when a bad guy pops around a corner and kills me when I'm ALMOST TO THE NEXT CHECKPOINT GOD F*CKING D@MMIT!

#2: Two Worlds. To be honest, I don't remember much about this game and didn't get very far simply because it just frustrated me to no end. I couldn't even get to the town in the first mission because I ran into maybe fifty wolves, three people trying to kill me and maybe five orcs... all at once. I couldn't get them off my tail, and I spawned right next to a group of ten people who immediately killed me AGAIN.
Yeah, I haven't played that in over a year.

#3: Vampire Rain. It's actually pretty fun, in a glitchy, hilariously derpy and bad way, but do the Nightwalkers have to be THAT hard to kill and THAT hard to sneak around? Also, there is pretty much no way to knife them...
Haven't played that in a while either.

That's all I can think of right now, but I'm sure there are others.

The first one that pops to mind is Ape Escape. Granted, I was only nine years old or so, but it made me toss my controller at a wall more than once.

In more recent years we got InFamous and Prototype. InFamous was annoying because the enemies were literally aimbots. They could snipe you from several blocks away with an AK-47 and just traversing the city in that game was a huge annoyance just because an enemy positioned on a rooftop a block away would start shooting at you--and doing a really good fucking job at it--when all you're trying to do is get from point A to point B.

Prototype was even worse though. That game started out really, really promising but it really took a dive. You initially feel like an allpowerful, shapeshifting asshole but eventually the military has their annual bring-a-rocket-launcher-to-work day and loves to bring tanks that can shoot you right out of the air from a block away and at this point in the game it's enough if you get hit once by an enemy because you will get knocked back and shot again by another enemy before you can recover and it keeps going until death. The game lost even more value when the awesome shape shifting powers that was such a strong selling point were trivialized by having every group of enemies escorted by various enemy types that would magically know exactly what you were.

But the worst goes to all Assassin's Creed games after ACII. Why? Because in its core, the games are really neat and let you do really awesome things, but too often do stupid glitches stop you from doing these things. An example is when I played ACIV about a week ago and I'm tasked with boarding and plundering a brig. So I start getting to work and as the battle continues, three more brigs show up and it suddenly becomes a 1vs4. Being the cocky bitch that I am, I tell them to bring it on and take on the 1vs4 onslaught, so I'm bobbing and weaving and landing broadside after broadside and I sink two of them and board the third one but here's when all goes wrong. While fighting on the deck of the enemy ship, the fucking counter/parry button stops working for literally no reason and I get absolutely brutalized simply because I could not defend myself. That could have been a great moment and the game's shitty development took it away from me and I've felt that exact sensation many times when playing the Assassin's Creed games. Good ideas ruined by poor execution frustrates me something mad.

But that's more about your friends being dicks rather than the game. The game is more of an enabler than an actual dick.

^yep, that game is evil. I hate hate hate hate hate it.

Honestly the most aggravated I've been lately in a game is the new Super Smash Bros for Wii U. Master Fortress is a bitch to defeat at 8.0 or higher ... I pulled it off with Ganondorf and Bowser but I need to do it a third time and it's been so hard I literally quit the game for a solid month.

It would change due to game I am playing probably as while I get super annoyed with things fast I tend to forget them fast as well.

Currently I am mostly frustrated with stupid henchmen of DDO (yeah idiot Arkyn I am looking at you) and my failing saves...

Anyway got rid of Paladin dilly on my sorcerer so I will just accept my failed saves like a champ now.

As a general rule I hate parts of games which involves stealth and sneaking... I killed thousands of similar enemies in the pervious levels but suddenly these will insta-kill me on sight... after I spend hours to learn your "unique" stealth mechanics and past those pitifull mobs then I continue killing them again like nothing happened.

4 words; Every... Single... Old... Platformer. Namely, castlevania as that's the one I've played the most (specifically Castlevania Legends (only one I've finished) and SCV IV). It took me about two and a half days to finish legends. It took me a week to get to the serpent stage in IV. Still good games, but I think I managed to pick off at least 12 keys on my keyboard and write profanaties on it was playing it.

Right now it's Bloodborne. It's a "souls" game, meaning it has grueling difficulty, and for me who is new to such games, it's a nightmare at first. But I'm determined to keep going.

Well right now it is The dagger of Amon Ra (Laura Bow 2).

Its a good game but Im stuck at a certain spot and I broke down and looked at a walkthrough and I swear I'm clicking in the right place and the game does NOTHING except send me to a death scene.

Oh yeah, forgot this, I am super annoyed at MH4U. When Fought the Shagaru Magala for the first time, I just did as a scounting mission, I suppose, I do it for alot of the larger monstes, and I managed to ACCIDENTLY wipe the floor with it's arse and I had virtually no equipment whatsoever. It's not that it's hard, it is just so, so, so dissapointingly easy. I was expecting a fight that would take me the max of every healing item, but in total I think I used three mega potions...

Yup, couldn't agree with you more. I remember physically throwing down my SNES controller while playing Donkey Kong Country. Ditto N64 controller when playing Mario. By the time I got the Gamecube though I'd decided it cost too much to throw controllers about, so I began cursing instead. Recently been playing Dying Light with a friend and he gets treated to all kinds of bad language.

I get most frustrated though when you get tripped up by some really abitrary/glitchy game mechanic that actually blocks your progress. Get pretty PO'd when I come across stuff like that. Still love games though - they not only taught me how to swear but also how to persevere when faced with adversity/stupidity. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Fifa is a huge annoyance to me too. I can't see why EA can't just make it fair and have your team play 100% every game? Instead you have to deal with bullshit such as your passes always going to the opposition and your defence deciding to take a break as the other team starts to attack. And then there's the bullshit of: 'oh you scored, now you won't be able to do anything properly until they score back' ugh...

Another huge annoyance in gaming is First Person Shooter's which have overpowered grenades. I can deal with explosives such as rocket launchers because they need the shooter to have a decent line of sight, but grenades you can just throw and they will somehow bounce to where you are and kill you. Also mines in the games are annoying as fuck because you will just move from one place to another and boom. So annoying. xD

Gran Turismo license tests!! Really, I failed because I needed a 45:00.00 and I ran 45:00.00 perfectly? Or just barely scraping a wall? Or it said I ran off the track and I don't!!

Pitching on any MLB Road to the Show.
