I am looking for some good games to play, but the market is saturated with games filled with gruffed and buff white male protagonists and too little games with female protagonists and I just want to get something new.

The game could even have no protagonist, like an RTS or city building games and stuff or an RPG with customizable protagonist who could be female. As long as it is doesn't have a male protagonist set in stone, I am looking to try it out.

So anyone got anything for me?

Maybe Resident Evil. Personally I'd recommend #2 which is my personal favorite. You play as Claire who's a kickass chick

Gone Home also features female characters. I'd be hesitant to call it a "game," as it's really more of an interactive story, but I really enjoyed the experience.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse(or the former games in the series first, but that popped in mind because it's a recent I loved).

The protag is a female (half-)genie.

Then again, I'm not sure/it depends what system(s) you have...

Eh.. PC games, I should specify that.

I played a few games that has been recommended already, like tomb raider and those RPGs like skyrim/dragon age, etc.

Tried gone home too, but for some reason I scare myself out when just walking inside the house alone. Just being alone in that empty house scare me for some reason, despite knowing that the game is not a horror game.

    Keep the suggestion coming though.

Well, if you want a lil' throwback, Resident Evil Remastered comes to mind. You can play as Jill Valentine. Although, the older Resident Evil games give me the legit creeps, just like Silent Hill.

FTL:faster than light is a really fun rts rouge-like.

Never alone is a beautiful 2D platformer that tells a traditional Inuit tale of friendship and loyalty and has optional video clips that are a documentary on Inuit culture.

Transistor is my favorite game ever. The gameplay is very unique and the story is very cool. The main character is a beautiful singer who had her voice stolen but the narrator is a sword (it's voice is that of a man so that might not work for you) and the art style is gorgeous.

Remember me is very cool. The plot seems a bit cliche at times but it is a lot of fun and does some very unique stuff.

Lastly, if you like mmos , the Elder Scrolls Online just changed to a single payment to pay (rather than a subscription). However, being a open world mmorpg on that scale it's hard to say that the protagonists are male or female because there are so many of them.

If I think of anything else I'll let you know.

Okami, an adventure game in which the protagonist is a female wolf, the great glorious Goddess of the Sun, Amaterasu Okami. How's that for a snappy title, eh?

Okami is literally the best game in the world. Literally.

Another game is Journey, though it's short and more of an art project. The protagonist is genderless.

Though both of those are console games.

I'd give Saints row a whirl. There's also Dark Souls if you're looking for a game that will fuck you until you love it. Divinity: Original Sin is a really neat RPG with two protagonists. The default is a male and a female, but you can change it to a duo of females and even have a little romance between them. Fable series is alright. Lord of the Rings: War in the North is a game that I personally enjoy and it has three playable characters where one is an elven woman. Mirror's Edge is mandatory mention. Same with Portal games. Vampire: The Masquerade is a golden oldie. Good luck getting it to run.

If consoles were an option, I'd recommend Dragon's Dogma. It's probably the best adventure RPG I've ever played.

Portal 2 has a female protagonist. It is less about action and more about problem solving, but it is a pretty great game.

For a second I thought that said Beyoncè XD.

Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, and DreadOut.

DreadOut is a super cool horror game with a Female protagonist. the Left 4 Dead series has many protagonists, including female protagonists.

Also, "Remember Me"! I've not played it, but the first episode of theRadBrad's walkthrough shows a female protagonist, so I'm guessing you'll play as her throughout. It seems like a nice game but I think my laptop can't handle the graphics.
