I just spent a bit of time updating the look of my desktop today, so I thought I would create a discussion where you can post a screen capture of your desktop to show it off =]

Mine still has the cool EC wallpaper you designed for that contest a while ago. There are only about four icons on the screen as I hate a cluttered desktop.

The first one is my current desktop and other 4 are my past desktops...
I usually pick a pic from my album(the pic that I took) but my current desktop is from American Egale All-Access Pass which I really liking it:love:

If I click it I get the thumbnail, but if I right-slick and choose "open in new tab" I get the full thing. Most odd, as the link looks OK....

Is that loader thing along the top part of Vista or something you created or installed?

This is it currently. I had to resize it to fit the size limit here as the screen is wider than that.

Its called stardock. Acts like the Mac's dock, except more customisable and obviously for windows.

Minimise your programs so your desktop shows. Press the "Prnt Scrn" key on your keyboard - this copies your desktop to the clipboard. Open Paint (in Accessories) or if you have a better program use that. In Paint choose Edit - Paste. Then save it as a .JPG file. If it is wider than 1024 pixels you will need to resize it to make it smaller. In Paint this is done from Image - Stretch/Skew; in most proper image editing programs it will be Resize or Resample.

Stardock ObjectDock. I stopped using it when I stopped using Windows for everyday tasks.

By the way, is that Windows Vista or just XP with Stardock WindowBlinds?

This is my Windows desktop - not very original, see, I rarely use Windows. I'll post a screen cap of my Linux desktop later.

Heh, nothing too special, just Win2k pro sp4, Izuna background. My sound scheme is a combination of a mechwarrior 2 sound scheme I discovered long ago and a gauntlet 2 sound scheme I designed myself ^^ "Red warrior has shot the food!"

Finally, here it is, after hours of arduous work. Mac OS X, on my Gateway MX6448 laptop. Nothing original because I didn't have enough time to mess with it.

Here is my desktop. I've blackened out the faces of those that are with me in the picture. It is of myself and some friends at a historical marker in Philadelphia, PA. The location of the marker, for those that might be interested, is across the street from the Liberty Bell, near the intersection on a sidewalk diagonal to Constitution Hall.

This is my highly customized (Windows XP) desktop. Using WindowBlinds, ObjectDock, IconPackager and Yahoo! Widgets.
