Is there a way to transfer a photo from your 3ds to your pc?

I want to move my drawings to my laptop so I can share them on here, but I can't figure out how to do it :c

Uhhhh, can you upload the picture from your ds to a social media site then go on your computer to save the pictures?

I'm 70% sure the 3ds comes with one in the slot (the dsi did, but I can't remember for the 3ds). I haven't used the camera function on my ds yet, but it's likely that your pictures automatically copy to the sd card, or that it would be very simple to copy them over in the photo gallery. Then you pop out your sd card, and stick it your computer and access the files on it.

Of course, you've already found a solution, so I'd stick to that.

I looked, but I don't know where the sd card slot it...

I have one, but I'm not sure where it is and all signs are pointing to the back part with the screws in it ( Kinda like how some phones are ) and if that's the case it's not worth it really.

Hey Simple Thoughts! I don't know if it helps but on my 3DS XL, the SD card slot is on the side, just under the stylus slot on the back. You don't have to unscrew anything, you just get your nail under it and the flap will pop open. When I look at mine closely, there's a little indented symbol that says "SD".

Maybe just stick to the method you know and love. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I just checked on my 3ds, and on the normal version (for those of us who don't have giant hands) the card slot is on the left side of the console, alongside the volume slider. There should be a 2gig card in there, assuming your system included one.

If what you're doing now is working for you, then by all means continue with that, but if you wanted to move over a lot of files, a hard transfer is generally more efficient than a soft transfer. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Either way, now you know more about your device, which never hurts!
