I just started playing a few days ago, and I'm absolutely in love with the game. I'm pretty much entirely focused on mining and reprocessing at the moment, but I don't really know anyone so it's slow going. At least, I assume it's slow... I'm not sure how quickly things usually progress. I'm on day 2 and I only recently broke 2.5mil isk. I'd love to hear about your experiences playing! .
Yeah, I play! And it is, indeed, a somewhat slowish game. Occasionally, there's a spurt of high-adrenaline action (say, you're taking a route through low-security space, and a gang of griefers jumps in), but much of the time, you're left to carefully plan your next move. ...and lots of moves are quite long-term. I'm currently into invention and production, and also play the market a bit, but that playstyle requires quite a few skills that you can't use for anything else, and a lot of patience to let your buy/sell orders and production/research run its course. Most days, I'm only in there for a couple minutes to adjust my mini-empire. ...so satisfying if it all works out and you manage to multiply your investment, though! Oh, and in the meantime I probe down undiscovered sites and loot them, or visit battlefields and mission hubs and do some salvaging/looting on leftover wrecks.
