Hey guys, anyone else experiencing problems with google? Sometimes when I try to click on articles it doesn't take me where I want to go and when I press backspace to delete a word in google it takes me away from google. I don't know what's going on. Could it be a virus?

Hmm, I don't think it would be a virus. Sometimes when you press backspace it will do that, but I never had any problems taking me to the wrong articles. It is probably just acting up but it is always good to scan your computer for viruses every so often!

    Thanks!

Now my audio and speakers are working at the same time. What is happening?

If you don't already have it, download malwarebytes and get it to check your computer.

I second this. I've never had Google send me to the wrong page.

I click on middle mouse button and instead of opening in new tab it opens on same tab !
I think its google-firefox acting strange together due to some update on either of those sides, maybe its related to your problem too ? Thing is its not always happens so its just sometimes weird

Thanks everyone for your comments!

Shallow Waters, yesterday when I was playing a video on youtube I could hear the sound from my earphones and also from my laptop speakers. The earphones were plugged into the correct spot. Now today, the problem is resolved. The google problem I was having is a bit less today - I am able to access more articles than I could yesterday but I am still having problems with google not allowing me to access certain articles from their results.

Inamirrordarkly, I took your suggestion and downloaded some anti malware software and ran scans for the whole night yesterday. I was able to delete a good amount of maleware that seemed to have been on my computer.

Anyone else having problems with how google has been acting lately?

One thing you could consider in the future is installing Linux (such as Mint or Ubuntu). Linux isn't for everyone, but it's very safe when it comes to susceptibility to malware (compared to Windows) and most distributions are free.
