Skyrim players: Empire or Stormcloaks?

They're both terrible.

The empire are assholes that essentially let a clerical error lead to an execution. "He's not on the list? Well, let's chop off his head since he's here and all."
The Stormcloaks aren't a whole lot better seeing how they're all just a bunch of asshole racists. Let them kill each other--I've dragons to kill.

 

Legion. The whole "execute him for the hell of it" seemed extremely contrived just as a way to have your character begin with a blank slate yet still be in a tense situation. So I give them sort of a pass there.

The reason I support the Imperials isn't quite so much because I agree with every decision they've made, particularly the White Gold Concordat being an extremely horrible choice. I supported them in the civil war because the empire needs all the strength it can get if gearing up for a war with the Thalmor. If Skyrim were granted independence, there's no telling whether or not the Nords would help, and we'd see an extremely powerful Thalmor on the other side should they gain the upper hand.

 

I didn't join any of them. I basically skipped that whole quest line. Dragonborn has no time to waste on your bickering. Although I assassinated the emperor, so maybe that helped the stormcloak.

 

I killed ulfric and then I killed the emperor...

 

I usually ignore the main quests, but I've tried it both ways and prefer the Impereals out of the two.

 

Imperials = Strict a-holes who forbid religions and invaded skyrim .
Stormcloaks = Racist a-holes who also seem to focus on brute strength.
Choose these b*****ds or the other b*****ds... How about no?

 

Imperials, you get good loot when you complete it and after doing both campaigns I can safely say the imperial one is far better.

 

In the Thalmor Dossier for Ulfric, they say that he is an "Asset (uncooperative)" and that "The incident at Helgen is an example where an exception had to be made - obviously Ulfric's death would have dramatically increased the chance of an Imperial victory and thus harmed our overall position in Skyrim". So as hard as it is, I generally rationalize Empire. Just because I hate the Thalmor.

 

I can't say much about the other claims, but this one is not quite as it seems. They were sort of forced into it as part of the Concordat I mentioned. The Thalmor didn't want the Nords worshiping Talos, because it gave them a stronger national identity which made them harder to subjugate. The Empire had to go along with it because it was in the terms of their surrender. When the Thalmor are defeated, I'm sure Talos will be worshiped openly again.

 

I sided with the Imperials because of the racism I saw in Windhelm.

Imperials all the way. Better fashion sense anyway.

 

They both suck, one try to kill you at the beginning of the game and the other one is full of racist assholes. The Companions is the closet their is toward good guys.

 

The imperials are assholes and the stormcloaks are racist so let them both lose

 

The Empire
I hate rebels !!! all they do is chaos
and if their plans didn't work out well
lets just say the country is turned into an unsafe place divided into many areas with a nasty Civil War

 

The Imperials are the lesser of two evils. Aiding the Stormcloaks is beneficial to the Thalmor, since a divide in the Empire would make it easier for them to take over. Plus, Ulfric is power hungry and the Stormcloaks are backwards thinking and racist.

 

Kill 'em all, I say.

 

Imperial Legion, The Stormcloaks are racist against every other person.

But, if you mix the Imperials and the Stormcloaks, there's a big chance that you get the Third Reich.

plus the legion is actually more accepting than stormcloaks
