Who's ready for this incredivble epicness?!?! and the epicness that comes after it Here's some concept art for the mech
No, it runs like garbage on PC and have been doing it ever since release. I'm an experienced PC gamer and I know how specs work and while my PC is admittedly not the best, it performed poorly on my friends significantly more powerful rig as well and there were complaints all over the internet as well as several articles on gaming news sites. The telltale signs of poor optimization I encountered was that intense scenes such as massive battles with many explosions didn't hurt my framerate at all, but get in a car and drive it, even if it's really slowly, and the FPS plummets. The fact that performance gets worse and worse the longer you play it is also indicative of a memory leak. I know my shit. I don't boot up intense games such as JC3 on a notebook with integrated graphics, crank it to max and say "this game no run good."
Well I see youtubers play it and they're getting 60 fps on intense parts 100 fps everywhere elts but tgey are using beastly gaming rigs actually the second video I posted was made on a laptop provided by square Enix and the performance look amazing
Yes, but when a game is poorly optimized, it's often pure pot luck whether your game runs well or not. I noticed when Dunkey released a video on it for example that he had lowered a lot of graphical settings in the video, presumably because it ran so poorly otherwise. Yeah, I saw that video when it came out, but as you said, Square-Enix provided the laptop and they know what their game runs best on. I'd assume it was one of the rigs they playtested and optimized the game on. unfortunately, not all PCs are identical.
Just tweak the settings till it runs good for you it runs pretty good on console and that's saying something
I can't though. Doesn't matter how I tweak the settings, the memory leak won't go away just due to lower settings. No matter how shitty I make the game look, I can only play it for about 20-30 minutes before the memory leak makes the game run like garbage. And no, a game running good on consoles is saying next to nothing. It's easy to optimize a game when you know that every user has the exact same hardware. I think JC3 is an awesome game, I'm just pissed at how poorly they optimized the game, especially since Avalanche also released Mad Max back in September and it ran great. The reason for this is because the main studio back here in Sweden worked on Mad Max and basically left JC3 to their new B-team studio in New York and they clearly didn't have it in them.
Mad max? The best feature in that game is the photo mode and Ospreys fun but tgeres no endgame after you take it all over there's no convoys or ENIMY patrols once you beat it you beat it there's nothing left ---------- Post added 20th Feb 2016 at 03:01 PM ---------- PC isn't all that great
I agree--I finished it and uninstalled it. It could've used more content, but it was a solid game for one playthrough and the technical aspects of the game worked as intended and were well optimized.
And PC is more expensive 100% more hackers on online games I just prefer console so let's please not start a flame war
