I love myself some music games, whenever I get the opportunity to play DDR or Just Dance, I'm up for it and at it. though I have to admit, I sort of despise things like Guitar hero, since as a guitarist, I just think to myself "why waste time pressing buttons on a plastic guitar when I have this perfectly great guitar right in front of me to play around with?"

I have Space Channel 5 part 2, and I don't know why, but its not really my thing that much, I have tried countless times to get into it but its just not working.

I would say my favourite rhythm game at the moment is Osu!, its free and is constantly being updated with songs, while mostly J-Pop, there's heaps of songs to choose from. If you really want as well, you can design stages yourself with your own music and upload them for the world as well! I would recommend it a heap!

  3. Just Dance.. That game was my life for a little while.

Rock Band! I used to play all the instruments on Expert until unfortunate life circumstances took the game away from me. I love playing them though, there is something about it that makes it so addicting, probably the need to always improve my score.

I used to play a lot of Guitar Hero 2. which is still the best rhythm game if you ask me. The songs were better designed than any other GH game and it basically only had good songs.

I used to play Rock Band a lot, but we lots most of the stuff. I'd play guitar and sing at the same time. Vocals on expert and guitar on hard. Fun times.

I play Osu! every now and again. I used to be super addicted to it, to the point where I played it every day and I was way better than I'd ever thought I'd be. I need to get a proper mouse so I can get back to that status and beyond (maybe not the addiction...but the skill level). Trackpads and crummy tablets don't exactly cut it.

I have been addicted to Tadpole Treble, and it is a very good musical game. I don't know why no one had this idea before, but it is fantastic. I'm (surprisingly) good at it. There's also Rhythm Heaven Fever, in which I have most of the perfects. Also Rhythm Thief, but I'm terrible in most of the games, specially the "Samba de amigo" ones.

Not really a Guitar Hero fan. Not really a metal music fan.

Beatmania and Pop'n music I love. It's more my kind of music.

    DDR I like.

    Osu.

    Stepmania.

    Just Dance sometimes.

I've always loved music games, Whether it be instrument or dance based, They're always fun, The Guitar Hero and Rock band games have been a favorite of mine, And I'll still break out the DDR dance pad on occasion even though I was never really that good at the game, And props to Domosuke mentioning space channel 5, I wish more people knew about that game.

Shoot, I can't believe I forgot DDR, Just Dance, and Project Diva. I don't own any of those games at my mom's house myself, but I love playing them. I've only played the demo of Project Diva (and Project Mirai) and...I want the full version because A. more songs and B. the highest difficulty on the demos is normal, and that feels substantially too easy for me.
