So, the other day I was watching Apple's WWDC keynote and I was wondering whether Siri is a regularly used feature for most people, or not.

Personally, I've never found Siri too useful. That might change once third-party apps begin hooking into SiriKit with iOS 10, but as of now, I rarely use it.

I don't have an I-phone and the Google version of Siri isn't as fun to screw around with but I sometimes like taking my mom's I-pad and playing around testing Siri's responses to all sorts of random nonsense for the fun of it.

I sure do. I remember being quite excited about it back in the days, I think it's the future now...

They should add some kind of 'barebones-Siri', so you can use it offline for easy tasks. Also if I could change the name. Siri is okay, but I'd rather talk to Amy or Sasha...

I use it to jokingly ask dumb questions that would make my friends laugh but besides that, not really.

I do. It's a little easier to use Siri with my 6s and the hands free mode since I can literally just say "Hey Siri, what's the weather" or whatever and it's all a little more organic. Siri can do more stuff now and hoping Siri gets even more useful with iOS 10. And I turned Siri into a British dude so basically, my personal assistant is Jarvis.

  7. Sometimes. I don't use her to get information because she either gives me the wrong results or tells me "Let me do a websearch".

I use Siri to tell me the weather forecast in the morning when I'm getting ready and don't have time to futz with my phone, and when I want to play music while my hands are dirty. And she's very helpful for adding up long strings of numbers because it's much easier to read a sting of "8 plus 7 plus 14 plus 3..." than going back and forth on the list with the phone calculator and losing my spot.

My partner and I use Siri just for fun. She's not a native English speaker so she likes to use Siri to test her pronunciation and she's always laughing at the results. The weird thing is she likes to insult Siri and I always feel kind of guilty or even sad when she does!

I don't have an iPhone, so I don't presently get much mileage out of Siri (other than having my friends - if they've not done it before - ask Siri what zero divided by zero is). I'll have to see if that changes when Siri comes to the Mac with macOS Sierra later this year.

Almost never. It's a gimmick as far as I'm concerned. I own an iPhone and an iPad and I've never used it on either. My friends have used it, but it seems to not do what they want half the time...

Used to have an iPhone, and I don't remember using Siri for anything other than asking stupid questions to pass the time.

Siri is borderline useless, you can say one thing and it will interpret it as something completely different. I watch my father try and search with it and it's infuriating the number of times he repeats the same thing over and over.

It (Siri) was created by Ray Kurzwell, who is a borderline madman who thinks we'll all be immortal and downloading our brains into paradise matrices by 2030. He's also the author of Age of the Spiritual Machines, which is about the singularity-- an event when man and machine will come together as one and end all suffering-- sounds great, right? Unfortunately it's highly impractical and with people too worried about other issues will probably never come to pass.

    One, I don't use Apple.

Two, I don't use the function on my android either because both are terrible at recognition still.

    Call piss her haunt?

    So yea, no thanks.

Only if I'm trying to call or text someone while driving and I can't look down at my phone to do it.

I mostly use it to ask what song is playing. My dad uses it all the time though.

In my experiences Siri has been less intelligent than most people I've met.

Just for giggles. If I need to know something, I just google it.
