    Hey guys,

So quite some time ago, I bought an iPad Mini 3 off eBay. Some time after, the LCD started to have some issues (open spoilers)

Does this issue seem like an issue with the LCD screen itself or a loose connection? This happened a while ago but it started pissing me off a few days ago. I can kind of see what's "behind" the lines, but I want to know what is exactly wrong so I can tell the repair place what exactly is wrong so they don't come up with a bogus, unneeded expense.

    In order of increasing expense:

    1) Display cable (flex)
    2) LCD
    3) Video circuitry (that is, logic board)

I'd check the cable first. If it isn't that, it will be a potentially very expensive repair. Don't know about there, but here, having the LCD replaced would cost over a third of the iPad's retail price and a logic board replacement would probably be about as expensive as a new one.
