    I have Cox internet.

I checked my internet speed and here are the results.

Download Speed HELP 1.09 Mbps (135.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed HELP 6.53 Mbps (815.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
    Latency HELP 56 ms
    Jitter HELP 2 ms

I have problems streaming web videos during internet rush hours.

Is the problem my internet connection ?

Or, are the sites that I go to having high traffic and therefore slow ?

It really depends on what quality you're trying to watch the videos in as well as your speed. Your download speed seems slower than what it should be, most of the time it should be higher than your upload. Have you tried rebooting your internet modem?

I'm stunned your upload speed is like 6x your download speed. That's not very common. Most internet speeds are the opposite. 1 mbps is pretty terrible for broadband. I would call Cox and complain, unless that's explicitly what you signed up for.

To reboot my modem, I should turn off the power and turn it on again?

I signed up for high speed internet.

Correct. Or, you can unplug it for about 30 seconds. If you're also using a router, reset/unplug that as well.

OK, I will try to unplug and rerun the speed test.

I unplugged and ran the test again.

Your Test Results (Tested on 8/21/2016, 7:06:33 PM)

Download Speed HELP 59.69 Mbps (7461.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed HELP 6.44 Mbps (805.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
    Latency HELP 50 ms
    Jitter HELP 1 m

I think the problem was my modem needed to be rebooted.

Most definitely. Now you should be able to stream/watch videos full HD with zero problems.
