Laptop touchpad and touch screen suddenly not working

    So I was using my laptop earlier just watching some YouTube videos when suddenly both my touchpad and touch screen stopped working. Whenever I try and move my touchpad, the cursor never appears and nothing on my desktop gets highlighted like I'm able to click it. My touch screen also just doesn't work and is suddenly acting like a normal screen without any touch capabilities. I tried doing a system restore to September 14th but that didn't fix anything. My laptop is an asus notebook that I just got around mid-late July. Does anybody think they know what is wrong and if I can fix it? I'm going to go buy a computer mouse in a day or two but if I can fix this before then, that would be great.

    Which Asus notebook would that be? It could be that Windows installed an update which screwed everything up. I'd uninstall both touchscreen and touchpad drivers and download them directly from Asus' site!
