In this current meta, with the Courage of the Colossus mastery, I'd say any tank with hard cc is the best, because the shield that mastery gives is huge. Champs like Malphite, Leona, Shen, Darius, and even Renekton are great choices.
I don't know why I was drawn to this thread I haven't played League in a long time and I never play tank and yet here I am
I rarely ever play tank myself either. I usually prefer adc, mid lane, or support. My favorite champs are Orianna and Vayne. League has definitely changed a lot depending on when you last played.
