After school gets out the school takes back their computers and then im left without a way to stay in contact with my online freinds. i was thinking of getting an Ipod Touch. Is this a good idea or do any of you have any other ideas? thanks
Get a phone instead, use phone to call or text said friends. Use skype for cheaper foreign calls. No need to purchase anything apple or mac at all
i also need to have easy and quick access to the internet without having to buy a ton of devices like a computer and a phone and an mp3 player
I can't vouch for or against its usefulness as a chat device, but my iPod touch has almost never let me down in terms of generally browsing the web. It's very convenient to have, especially in situations where you and your friends communally wonder something but no one can come up with an answer. (For the record, the proper capitalization of any apple product is iWhatever, with the "i" lowercase and the first letter of the word itself uppercase.
iPod touch would be a good thing to have really. Does all what you need really. You can Get MSN and skype and all that on it. Needs Wifi but other than that a good way to go.
Why not like a netbook? I have an iPod Touch which I love, but it sounds like you don't have a computer (?) in which case, I'd reccommend getting one..
Agreed. Get a cheap laptop instead. You can get a decent laptop for the price of an ipod touch probably. I recommend this because, I could not keep my sanity trying to type on my ipod touch all the time. It's ok sometimes but it's the same with texting for me - drives me crazy.
I agree with Pauline. If you dont have a computer it will be better for you to buy a netbook. They are little laptops that cost you the same as an ipod touch.
Assuming you have WiFi at home, yes. An iPod Touch would be better than a netbook. At least for the price.. 200 dollars = new 3rd generation 8GB ipod touch 200 dollars = very old, very slow, netbook
Ive had an ipod touch for a while and I love it. Sometimes it gets glitchey with the apps, but that from what I know usually has nothing to do with the ipod itself and more with the app, so yes
