Nintendo 3DS

I want one so bad. Gamecube-quality graphics? 3d? Analog nub? 3d camera? I'm not really seeing anything that would make me even a bit iffy about buying one, especially since my last DS lite got stolen.

 

Until recently, I wasn't so enthusiastic. Then I saw that Animal Crossing and Paper Mario games, two series that I'm extremely nostalgic for, are due to be released on it.

 

I dunno really.

 

certainly no "revolution". the original DS was a bit more of a revolution
BUT .. still a great console, and I can imagine that this kind of 3D works MUCH better than all the glasses techniques.

 

I've never been a huge fan of portable systems. Not really sure why. Yet, I will probably get this one fairly soon after it comes out...

I agree for the most part.

However, I think with the 3D it is, by just a bit, revolutionary. But certainly not as much as the original DS.

 

Im getting it for sure! It looks awesome, and it being all 3D makes it even more kick ass. It's just a shame that it probably won't allow you to play with older games just like the DSi.

 

I will surely be getting one. And when I will be getting one, I mean my brother will get it and I will just steal it when I wanna play xD

 

Yeah, that's the only setback.

But you have to abandon it sometime. You cant keep adding the fuction of playing older games to new systems or eventually you'll have 20 different game slots.

 

Yep i know, it's just a shame that i won't get to use my older games. But oh well the 3D makes up for it.

AKA, I consider it a waste of money. If I wanted gamecube like graphics, I'd get a gamecube. If I wanted better graphics, I'd get a PSP. >_>

I'm not impressed. Its just gimmick after gimmick with nintendo lately. They need to focus on making games, not DSis to take goofy pictures and 3DSs to make things *~3d~*. With the exception of a few franchises (that were for the most part, of course, for older systems) the DS library is... really lame. So is the Wii, imho.

 

Actually, I've grown more enthusiastic since my last post. Yay.

One of my friends sent me this video not too long ago. It looks pretty cool, but I still think that they're just trying to cash in on the recent return of the 3D craze :\

 

I really think any 3d gimmick they come up with is just going to far...I really don't want to see my games or my movies in 3D.

Just....give me a side scrolling 2D dungeon crawler or something and I'm happy as I can possibly be. Why change it?
