Sooo.... My Blackberry Storm broke. It's a year old, I have a year left on my contract. I'm going in sometime this week to see if I can get a replacement.. Will I be charged the full price of the phone for a new one? I was looking at the Curve as a replacement, it's more reasonably priced ($360) compared to the price of the others, which are in the $500-$600 price range. This is with Verizon. Anyway, any advice would be useful, if anyone knows.... Thanks!
I don't believe I have phone insurance... I don't know how it broke. The lock button just quit working one day... its a touch screen (the storm), so naturally you have to lock the screen before you put it in your pocket and such. It also auto-locks. Basically, any time it locks, I can't unlock it. And if I want to lock it, I can't lock it. Sometimes the lock button works, most of the time it doesn't. So, basically... it's worthless to me, it's very difficult to use a phone that wont unlock most of the time, and wont lock most of the time.
If you didn't break it yourself (as in it's just a wear and tear kind of defect) then they should be able to help you more than if you had an accident and slammed it on the ground or something.
