Just like Macs. Macs used to have those problems too, now Steam works on Macs and Steam is one of the largest computer game providers. I heard they're working on a Linux version as well. Also, may I point out, that there is a lot more to an OS than ability to play some games (unless of course, you're a gamer.) I actually have Sims 3 running in Ubuntu right now. Thank god for Wine and PlayOnLinux.Same. I am dual booting Ubuntu 10.10 and Windows XP on my computer. In Windows Seven, my optical drive and sound (despite having up-to-date drivers and firmware) did not work. In XP my optical drive still didn't work but the sound did. Ubuntu is the only OS where everything works perfectly on my computer. :P Never had that happen before with Ubuntu. I stopped using Ubuntu when they released 9.10. But I guess I am a Linux user again. ![]() | |

We have lots of Linux systems at work. Most of my Linux experience is with Red Hat. At home my desktop run CentOS and my HTPC runs Fedora 13.
