I've been playing Bejeweled and SFCave since I had a Palm Pilot eight years ago. They're both in the App Store now and held up great over time. I also like all the Papi games (PapiJump, etc) iGeared and iDork are good too.

Plants vs Zomies - really good fun TDish game. Lux Delux - Like RISK for iOS. Once you've bought the app, you can download more maps from inside the app. Hoggy - Like a Mario-esque scrolling ish game...except you invert yourself to collect fruit and avoid enemies DoodleJump - An iOS classic, but its a classic for a reason. Doodle God - A creation app where you have to create new things by mixing other things together. Build-a-lot - An awesome strategy game where you have to construct different types of houses to pass levels Trainyard - A puzzle game where you have to guide different coloured trains to their respective end points. Lots of strategy involved in the harder levels Wurdle - A nice word game where you have to find words within a grid. Words with friends - multiplayer scrabble pretty much. good fun. These are the apps that I play the most on my iPhone ![]()

RageHD (by id software) is a pretty cool rail shooter (and it was only like 2-3 bucks when I downloaded it). There's a free Nethack app, as well as a free interactive fiction (zork and so on) app too.

It's similar to Sim City, and the main premise involves setting up a town with supply chains to create goods. There are a few gripes but it's very satisfying to play. Around £4 though, but there is a free version. Kwyjibo

I just got Dead Space, as it was on sale for 99 cents. It's a pretty good translation of the X360 game, and actually controls very well.

You just tilt back and forth to run out of the way of the falling objects. The style is wonderfully 8-bit and the music is MIDI so it's all very retro, and in fact I think they stole an Anamanaguci (sp?) song from the Scott Pilgrim video game soundtrack...99cents but well worth it. ---------- Post added 17th May 2011 at 05:20 AM ---------- http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pDYpkU_h5U...0/533456_6.jpg |
