Windows 7, because it came with the computer

Reason I'm staying with it is because so far I have no complaints. It's intuitive enough that I didn't have any trouble finding or customising what I need, and so far it hasn't failed or crashed on me.

I'm also slightly too lazy to learn a new OS if I'm not having trouble with my current one :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Windows 7. I got used to it on the desktop, then when it came with my laptop I didn't care to change it at all.

Currently I'm using Windows XP and Windows 7. Reasons:

Windows XP - This is the OS I've been using longest and despite its slight dated qualities, it's still a reliable system to use (although mine is getting a bit glitchy these days). Plus it's my gaming machine.

Windows 7 - I love this thing, great interface (inspired by Apple perhaps?) and likeable in usage. It also seems much improved over the previous two OS (and I say this as someone who hasn't used Vista, I just never liked the look of that).

My laptop has Vista. Sure, the firewall has blocked a few things which didn't need blocking, but that's a fairly simple problem to fix. Otherwise, the OS has honestly never given me any problems. I can't see why people complain about the horrors of Vista (or IE, for that matter, which has never caused me trouble either).

My lappy is a Macbbok pro dual-booting OS-X Snow Leopard and Win 7, my new living room/gaming PC runs 7 and my ipad runs iOS. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Why? I prefer OSx for doing graphics work and file organization. Win7 excels at games. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Mac OS X Lion on my macbook

Windows 7 on both my Vaio and Desktop PC

Windows on my PC mostly for gaming, its better / easier. Mac is far superior for everything else.

Windows went completely down the drain after XP.

Vista - works wonderfully for me, unlike XP which I have to endure at work, or Windows 7 which just feels wrong

Think I've tried most common distros over the last decade. Like the debian branch, and Ubuntu is so damn easy to work with

Well Debian based disros are the most commonly used for Desktop usage. There is no such thing of one distro being easier to use than the other, it boils down to what you are familiar with. I was a Fedora user before I switched to Arch Linux.

Oh, there are big differences, Redhat for instance is awful!

Ubuntu is also tailored for users with little familiarity with Linux, so it is definitely easier to set up and use compared to for instance Fedora. On my home computer Ubuntu was even easier to set up than Win7. Ubuntu worked "out-of-the-box", Win7 did not.

I found Fedora to be a lot more 'out-of-the-box' than Ubuntu. Ubuntu had a lot of bugs in the most basic of things, which was rather frustrating. If I was forced to use a Debian based distro I would probably choose Mint. Also nothing about Windows is ever easy. I am not afraid of configuration files, I actually prefer configuring stuff over having it done for me.

Windows 7. Other than the aesthetic feel that I really like, it just suits what I need. I couldn't imagine myself using a Mac.

Then again, I'm kind of an anti-anti-anti-anti-tech hipster? I stick with whatever the most pretentious people don't use.
    It's Windows/Android/Playstation 3 for me.

Same here. I have been using Windows Vista since 2007 and I haven't had a single problem with the OS.
