I've had my iPod for a few years now, but I've never thought to clean it. Specifically, the part where you plug it into the computer and the hole for the headphones. I'm noticing some dirt and dust in there, and want to clean it, but I'm not sure what to use. Any tips?

You can buy compressed air cans to use on electronics. Maybe try that? You just shoot the air into the small holes and it will push the dust and dirt out.

I'd also suggest compressed air. That's pretty much the sort of thing it's for.

There's also some goo type thing designed for that. I'm not sure what it's called but it's pretty common in electronics shops here. It's like yellow putty that you push into the hole and it lifts the dirt out.

I'd considered using a bottle-brush, but was afraid it might be a little abrasive.

I'll probably go with compressed air, thanks.
