How has there not been a thread on this yet?

Thoughts? I really enjoy the game, though EA seems to be continuing its practice of providing awful customer support.

There is already a thread on it. I just want to say that I would like to enjoy the game, however, my part of the world isn't getting it for another 3 months. I am a massive Star Wars fan, but, this snub and the fact that there are a lot of technical issues occuring (including long periods of down time) is seriosuly making me reconsider my position on the game.

I certainly would. If I paid money to play WOW or Star Trek Online (which is going free shortly), I wouldn't have a problem paying for this. I've played it on my friend's cmputer and I love it.

Unfortunately, it won't run on my laptop.

Swtor? Sweator? A new He-man villain that wears extremely fuzzy sweaters?

(Yes, I know you're talking about that star wars MMO that I'm avoiding like I do all MMOs. I just find it a pet-peeve when people use acronyms to refer to games... it's confusing~! Hell, when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 came out everyone just cut off the first two words and acronymized it and I thought that Mechwarrior 2 was having a huge resurgence in popularity. Got my hopes up.)

It ain't that difficult to do at all. Bootcamp practically does it for you. You just need the Windows discs. But you also need enough space to allocate to the windows side so you don't run out and get pissed off then wipe your entire harddrive, but can't reinstall the Mac OS, so you now have Windows 7 on Macbook only.

Yeah, that didn't happen to me or anything. :rolle:

It's not nearly as buggy as everyone is making it out to be. I've played about 150 hours of it. I'm a bit of an MMO freak, and I gotta say, The Old Republic is the best one I've played so far. It's like everything good about WoW, AoC, SWG, and WAR all rolled into one.

The only real disappointment is space combat, but it's entertaining enough to overlook it's useless qualities. Plus it gives good exp.
