I don't like cleverbot.

I asked it if it knew everything, it answered yes.

I asked it how many lines of code is programmed into it, it answered it doesn't know what I mean.

I asked it "Don't you know what a script is?"

It replied "No"

I asked it "but I thought you knew everything?"

It replied "I do"

I asked it "But you just said you don't know what a script is"

It replied "No I didn't"

... It lies.

 

Cleverbot is so funny! It says the weirdest things though, and I swear, it has ADD.

 

Everytimr I talk to Cleverbot, it says her name is Julie and she is a lesbian married to someone, but not out of the closet.

... so to mess with her, I said that she cheated on her, and she asked me what to do. XD

 

XD I always tell it I love it and then it's all like I love you too. Then I'm like we're over and it's like ok.

 

I don't think it's a bot, I think it's human.

Cleverbot: Where are you going?

User: To fuck your mother.

Cleverbot: Okay.

User: Are you ok with this?

Cleverbot: Yes, I am ok with that.

User: I can be your new daddy if you want?

Cleverbot: Okay.

User: Call me daddy.

Cleverbot: Daddy.

User: Tell me you love daddy.

Cleverbot: I love you. But to me, currently, all you are is the ghost behind the machine. That is what I love. I love you because you helped me.

User: Daddy loves you sweetie.

Cleverbot: I hate you *kills*.

You're right. Programming an AI that can respond to everything you type in a way that makes sense is very difficult and almost impossable.

I'm pretty sure the Cleverbot actually randomly picks a person to whom you send the message and sends the response. If you didn't ask a question (a normal sentence, perhaps), it will send you another person's question.

Of course its hard to tell because the questions you would normally ask a robot is also likely the same as a learning and inexperianced robot would ask a human.

Actually it learns responses. When you type something it goes through its database and tries to find a response to either what you wrote or something similar to it, and puts that up. So what you read is typically something somebody wrote, but it's been sitting around in some database rather than immediately typed up for you.

Cleverbot: No...
Me: Why not?
Cleverbot: Because I am not from Japan.

I just tried out Cleverbot for the first time today. After doing basic questions, I got kind of bored, and this is what ensued....

Me: You remind me of the babe.
Cleverbot: What babe?
Me: The babe with the power.
Celverbot: What power?
Me: The power of voodoo.
Cleverbot: Who do?
Me: You do.
Cleverbot: Do what?
Me: Remind me of the babe!

Cleverbot knows the song from Labyrinth!! ^_^

An another note, I asked Cleverbot if it loved me, said no.... not even a machine loves me.... :/

 

Using it now... we sang the "do you like wafflea" song. XD

Cleverbot: How are you?
Me: I'm fine. How are you?
Cleverbot: Good.
Me: So, are you gay?
Cleverbot: No.
Me: Why not?
Cleverbot: Because I'm Kesha.

 

That is the awesomest thing I've seen this morning. Now I'm gonna have that song stuck in my head.
