    [9:56:22 PM] mouse: it's in
[9:56:26 PM] mouse: the system drop down menu
[9:56:35 PM] mouse: synaptic, it should be called
[9:56:56 PM] mouse: and than search for sun-java6
[9:5: he'll come up with a bunch of options, i think. he'll need to select sun-java6-bin and sun-java6-jre"

someone told me to tell you that

    "apply the changes
[9:57:59 PM] mouse: it'll download and install, than it should be ready to use"

I asked a friend of mine for help since she has linux or something

Open a terminal and type the following:

    "sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree"

And you should be good to go. For Skype, try this:

    1. Type "uname -a" in the Terminal

This is a command that will show you your system type. You'll get a response like this:
    "Linux BPC-V-L 2.6.38-14-generic #58-Ubuntu SMP Tue Mar 27 20:04:55 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux"

The part in bold will be either "i686" or "x86_64". If you see "i686", you're using 32-bit Ubuntu. If you see "x86_64", you're using 64-bit Ubuntu. Why do you need to know this?

    2. The Skype website will ask you which version to download for your system, 32 or 64-bit. Go here: Download the latest version of Skype for Linux and download the "Ubuntu" package for whatever your system is. Download the "DEB" package and then open it once you download it; Software Center should help you install it. If you see "Wrong Architecture" error in the Software Center, that means you downloaded the wrong type.

Write back if you have any questions.
