I am ashamed to say this but currently I have a Sony Ericson T172 or something.

I want to get a new phone end of the month, but I can't afford too fancy phones like the iPhone and all that. The phone I'm opting for that fits my budget is the Nokia C6-00 with a QWERTY keyboard

I've never been one of those people who swears by Apple products but I currently have the iPhone and a MacBook Pro and I love both of them.

Sony (Ericsson) Xperia S on T-Mobile UK running the official firmware (latest version mind).

The front says Sony, the back has the Sony Ericsson logo, the regulatory compliance stickers are Sony, the label inside the cover is Sony Ericsson, the USB cable is Sony, the (horrid) charger* is Sony Ericsson, the Headset is Sony, the Warranty is Sony Ericsson, the Manual is Sony - yay for launching a phone during a rebrand!

    * Obviously designed for European and American sockets - the earth pin being a horrid after thought - took me five minutes to work out how to get it into the socket as it moves!

I just got it a few days ago, and I love it! Except the battery life is horrible....

My phone is this old dinosaur:

It doesn't get internet, it doesn't have GPS, it doesn't even have a QWERTY-keyboard, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The absolute last thing I want in a phone is to be "wired in" no matter where I go, to be reachable by email/Facebook no matter where I am, because as much as I like the internet, it's important to get away from it every now and then. My iPod Touch (which can use to access the internet where there's wi-fi) is enough of a compromise for me on that front. And using T9 while texting helps me make sure I spell my words correctly, because oftentimes they won't even appear if I get the spelling wrong.

And it can take a beating. I'm a klutz, and I've dropped this phone more times than I care to remember, and it just keeps on trucking. I'd be so paranoid of breaking my phone if I had one of those fancy-shmancy smart phones, but with this one, I don't even worry.

Nokia C3. It's perfect, it's simple to use and it's all I need. I hate texting.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace. Pretty much the only reason I have it is because I wanted to have internet access at all places and be able to use whatsapp or facebook and stuff like that while not at home. It's great and I would never trade back to a 'regular' phone.

I have an Atrix 2 and the battery life is great. The of any Android phone I've ever had. Likely there is an app sucking up your battery.

I had that problem a few weeks ago. I just started uninstalling Apps I don't really use. Took a few tries, but found the one that was the cause.
