Okay so you may or may not know about Apple's time machine backup software (does daily back ups like every hour in the back ground and you can restore ANYTHING thats been deleted.)

Anyhoo, they've now released a Wireless Hard drive/router that allows you to back up straight onto that! It looks awesome, it comes in 500 gigs and 1000 gigs (1TB).

It's also a router so it can be used for that also. I also imagine it could be used for a server too, but I haven't looked into it in depth that much.

    Looks more evolutionary then revolutionary.
    $300 for a 500GB External hard drive + router (1TB for $500)

I mean you can already get external drives with Ethernet capability. Plug it into a $30 wireless router and you have a wireless hard drive.

After you've had it for a fortnight you probably won't care what it looks like, as long as it works.

Especially where my router is out of sight in a closet anyways (hey something in common!). I bought one a few months ago that's ugly as sin but it was only $30 and so far as worked well.

Hehe, that's what people buy Apple products.
    We're so vain.

Well that's not like it was the biggest announcement today... The MacBook Air is pretty hot, but it's more of a dream product (price price price). http://www.apple.com/macbookair

iTunes movie rentals look pretty convenient too, but that won't be internationally available just yet.
