Anyone know a good screen cleaner for Macbook screens? I currently have a product called Monster Screen Cleaner but I notice now when I spray the chemical on the cloth and wipe, at times it actually leaves streaks afterwards which it's not suppose to. Do you think it's cause sometimes I still clean it with the computer still on, do you think that's causing an issue? I know it says to turn the computer off and let it cool down but since I don't want to stop what I'm doing on the computer sometimes I keep it up. Let me know if this is the wrong thing to do. :icon_redf

Macbook or Macbook Pro? The glass on the pro is easily cleaned with a paper towel and windex. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

You don't want to use anything with alcohol or another harsh substance on your computer screen. Anything that says something along the lines of "Computer screen cleaner" should work perfectly fine. Spray it on a non abrasive cloth and make small circular strokes with the wet side. Then you should wipe it side to side and finish by padding the surface to dry it off.

The screen being on isn't an issue, though I like to clean them while they're off so I can see better.

White vinegar and water mixed 50/50. It doesn't leave streaks, and is safe to use on those soft-panel screens (cleaning sprays will gradually discolour them - although specialised computer cleaners shouldn't, but they're just a waste of money as you have found out).
