I've just received this e-mail from a friend: And it appears she followed through the message as she had sent it to all her other contacts. Has anyone else received this message on their hotmail account? I'm pretty certain it's just one of those "chain mail" thingies or whatever, after all it has typos and doesn't seem to worded professionally, which I would expect from MSN, and on the actual bbc website it says "hotmail will remain free". Should I just ignore this e-mail?
Yes, it's like the fake virus alerts and other pyramid junk emails that circulate regularly. Just delete it. I've had three emails today from people who want to transfer tens of millions of dollars into my bank account and let me keep 25% of it. I wonder how many of those are genuine....
ive had many of them and they all have the same number in, and i saw one forst early on last year or mabe sooner so just ignore it.
As others said chain mail junk mail. Normally if I get any chain letters I find a snopes or something debunking it and send it back. Even if the person "doesn't get it" they usually stop sending me chain letters. Oh and the article is from 25 February, 2001. I'm sure they're in a real big rush...
It's spam..I get it all the time..often I get e-mails saying "Don't add [email protected] because they're a hacker"..-presses delete button-
Yeah, it's a regular spam. Do you think Microsoft (owners of MSN) would really send such an unprofessional email, or ask you to send it on to your contacts when clearly they could do it themselves? Delete all the ones like that. =)
