Do you prefer a Mac or a PC? Personally I prefer Mac and have a MacBook Pro, but I use Windows a lot and I like it, though I'm not a big fan of Windows 8.

Mac OS, maybe. A Mac, hell no. Personally, I'd build a desktop that runs both OS.

Ive never gotten use to the Mac OS, its just plain weird to me, I like to associate Macs with things like school work, office work, and multimedia wise kind of things, and those are stuff I can do on a PC also.

PC desktop you can customise also, you cant really take a Mac apart, overall I think its what you use the computer for, I personally go with PC because Mac's are a BIG no no when it comes to gaming

    Mac

I prefer Mac OS to Windows, and all of the computer experts are going to think I'm an idiot for saying this but I'll say it anyway...

    Macbooks just look cool! :icon_bigg

I build my own computer and I, though I think Windows is very bloated in resource consumption, use Windows out of necessity for playing games. If Fedora or Ubuntu had support for most games I would just drop Windows.

Also, I don't get why people buy Macs to be honest. They are horribly overpriced for what you get. You could build a PC with greatly superior hardware for less cost.

You do realise that Macs are Personal Computers, right?
It's like asking "Which do you prefer, Hondas or cars?"

I chose Mac because it's been overall more reliable than the windows counterparts I've had over the years. Plus, for all the time I've had it, it hasn't gotten significantly slower like my other windows computers that I've had.

Haha tell that to apple. They ran those "I'm am Mac" "I'm a PC" commercials for a long time.

No "both" option? I like both, so I guess I can't vote. :\

Defintely Mac! Ever since I got mine a few years ago I've never gone back!

Once you go Mac, you never go back. (At least in my case.)

I like Mac in theory but they frankly just cost too much. I don't need the types of applications that a Mac excels at. I can get a PC with similar specs to do what I need it to do for so much less that I can't justify the money.

Macs drive me nuts. I would much rather have a PC.

    Pretty much my thoughts!

I'm big into photography and always hated using computers (unfortunate for someone who spends huge chunks of his time in Photoshop!) Around 3 years ago I finally changed to Mac and it was the best decision I've ever made. I know the newer versions of Windows are supposed to run better but my 27 inch iMac still runs like a dream and my year old 15 inch MacBook Pro also runs super smooth. I've never had a significant problem with either machine (and they both get hammered), and I actually love using them - I never thought I'd say I love using a computer!
