Generation 5 is ok. I won't deny that the older generations were much better but at least there's still something. Hydreigon is a pretty kick ass generation 5 Pokemon btw

... Now Hydrogen is a pokemon? Last time I saw it was an element. ¬¬

Nay. Generation 1 is the best one.

  9. Hydreigon is pretty cool. I don't use it on my current teams, though.

It sort of grew on me while I played Pokemon Black... but no one can deny that the older generations were 10000% better. They just rocked. Now it's like... meh, it's better than nothing.

I'm giving it a yay and even though the older generations are better, I gave Gen 5 a chance.

    It's 'okay'.

Certainly not bad, but nothing too innovative.

At least a villain has finally attempted to kill the M/C

Yay. A brilliant return to form.

Although I've only played Blaze Black/Volt White and not the normal games as the latter are far too easy and simple. They're more or less the same game though.

Yay! White 2 is my favourite one yet. The story and gameplay are so much better, not to mention the fact that there are so many more options. More moves, more Pokemon, more everything. TMs don't break, HMs are slightly less annoying. The fact that we got actual sequels as opposed to "1.5"s (eg. Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum) is pretty sweet.

I like the Gen 5 Pokemon. All generations have both good and bad Pokemon. Apparently having an ice cream-shaped Pokemon is horrid, whilst a few eggs is awesome. I love both Vanillite and Exeggcute. What I will say is that Magneton and Dugtrio are the least inventive Pokemon of the franchise and they're both from gen 1. Gen 5 also lacks the ridiculous type-balance problems gen 1 had, as well as the abundance of game-breaking glitches. Not to say I didn't like gen 1. It was fun and was the start of something amazing, but in my eyes, it just doesn't live up to what the franchise has evolved into.

Music has been consistently awesome. The Colress theme is just... so good.

  18. I'm an old Pokemon Red Version veteran. I played it on my crappy old green screen Gameboy. I refuse to acknowledge anything past season 1 and the original 150. Except for Mew maybe.

    Bah Humbug!

Actually, GSC are sequels to RGB(Y), taking place two years after the first games if I recall correctly.

Yay? Nay? I say okay. All generations have had good and bad Pokémon.

I agree. I'd also really like to add that I think people focus far too much on the designs. When it comes to pokémon it's potential not looks for me. Its typing, stats, ability and movepool that matter. Eelektross is ugly as hell but it's got decent stats and movepool and an awesome ability that's why I decided before the BW1 games came out that I wanted to train one. Looks don't count for shit when your team is being owned.
