I just used my Christmas money to pickup a turntable. I picked up this one for $70, Amazon.com: Sony PS-LX250H Automatic Belt-Drive Turntable: Electronics

Right now I am listening to Jimi Hendrix' Are You Experienced.

I forgot what stuff sounded like before the loudness wars.

We have a vintage record store in town so I think I'll head down there tomorrow. Got a few LP's I want to pick up.

I still have around 1000 LP's in the loft, plus a few hundred singles.

I used to have a lot of them as kid. I collected them from various places. We sold most of them in a garage sale about 10 years ago. Don't know what I was thinking.

I love vinyl. Ever since I revived my record player last year and bought a new pickup system, my collection is steadily growing. Just got a package with a couple of LPs on coloured vinyl and a 7" single yesterday.

I like it because in its whole it is an enjoyable experience, sliding the vinyl out of its sleeve, paying attention not touch the grooves, setting the vinyl on the turntable, lifting and setting the needle down and then just listening from the first crackle in the lead-in through the first tone that strikes until reoccurring pop produced by the lead-out groove.

I have a shitty turntable but I do have a few records. Don't listen to them much because of the shitty turntable. I would like to invest in a really nice hi-fi system sooner or later.

it sound so much better than mp3, I've got a turntable with a motorized arm an old sharp of my dad, then a friend gave me a 600 watt amp, and the neighbors have been annoyed ever since. got a few hendrix and quite allot of old obscure stuff as well.

When I have a job and a house I shall definitely be investing in a record player.

Heck yes I'm into vinyl! I'm using a cheap-ish Audio Technica turntable. It's not so great, but the rest of my system is pretty good.
