Who loves it?! I know I do, but I have yet to download it onto my laptop for the fear of it may make my laptop go slower..but it is something to do so I may start playing again.

I have so many outfits and hair..stuff like that, downloaded onto it. It's amazing! I want to get the other ones (The one with all the mythical creatures, etc.) so bad! Not enough money though, haha.

So, who else plays it? Love it, hate it? Wish there was more to do?

I know I wish there was more to do, once you've played it for a while it gets a little boring. If only there were downloads for a different story play out or something..

I used to love The Sims, but i tried playing it a couple days ago for the first time in years. I dont like it anymore. Its too much like real life to be any fun, wake up, eat, work, socialise, sleep, work, etc, etc.

I was really into Sims and Sims 2 when I was younger. Sims Makin' Magic was my absolute favourite expansion ever in the history of the Sims.

Sims 2 was also a large part of my childhood, I remember when my family got a computer that was able to run it, I was so excited ^^

Sadly, I feel Sims 3 has lost the Sims charm. I really do not like it. I love the customization options and no load screens, but I can never quite get into it. But I still support the franchise

  5. Sims 3.... Ahh, I remember when I was 7 or 8 and I spammed motherlode in the Sims 2... Oh, and if it wasn't obvious, I LOVE the Sims 1, 2, AND 3!!

I have been a The Sims addict for years and years, it`s come and gone in periods. Actually the only game I could ever claim a sort of addiction to, really. I could sit 12 to 18 hours in a row to play it, drove my mother insane trying to control my gaming. Then my sister got equally addicted, we had 40 + generations and kept track, did experiments, made tons of Hollywood celebrities and had a shitload of fun with it!
    Still love the Sims

I have downloaded so much content for The Sims 3 because I want my horse experience on there to be as realistic as possible. I think I spend more time downloading shit than playing.

Are you stalking me? I'm in the exact same situation only it's my mother's laptop I have to download it onto because mine is broken.

Custom Content makes the game worth it.

I love the sims, I can't have it on my laptop though because it's just TOO big. Have you played sims Medieval? Thats quite amusing.

Sims 1 and 2 were great, but TS3, while still good, wasn't as good as the first two.

OMG. I am a huge Sims fan! TS2 - Apartment Life ranks as my favorite. I still miss it, to this day (it was on my old computer - I lost the disc, and the computer is sooooo slow.) Anyone remember the two sisters who lived together? I think one was an evil witch, and the other good? It's been too long, but I know I took the good one and she had like 20 kids and this huge castle I downloaded...sigh.

The Sims was great for the beginning. It was the right amount of "real" life and "fake/cheat" life.

The Sims 2 was the best, because it was more realistic and was also that typical Sims style - quirky!

The Sims 3 - well..... ehh. My computer doesn't love it - so I get really weird things that happen, like horses getting stuck in the foundation. I have Pets and World Adventures.
I know you can turn off the neighborhood aging, but the platform itself is trying to be too realistic. Some of my favorite features are gone - I lived by the Anti-Aging Potion in TS2 and the work bonuses. It was much easier to make money in TS2.

I heard that TS4 might be out next year - or something new. I sure hope so....

Oh man I just remembered something..

One time I was playing on my older brothers computer playing the Sims 3. On a spur of the moment thing, I had my sim fall in love with another guy ^_^ Except.. I'm not out at all and anyone could have walked in at anytime. Well, as I was playing it, my brother walked in and was like hey let me check your stats, he just wanted to see how far I had made it. I panicked when he looked at the relationships, because there in broad daylight was the other guy sim with a heart meaning "in love" or whatever. It was so weird.. He didn't say anything, and just walked off. Then he came back and quietly said "why is there a heart with that sim?" I just quickly made up something about how they were just friends and then heart popped up. We never talked about it again.

Now, about 2 years later, I just found out my brother is gay. No wonder he didn't say anything :/

I have been a player since the beginning (and a fan of simcity since about 1993). I am currently involved in a petition on the offical website to get a Santorini world created for the sims3 store, though I, at this time, rarely play due to theatre and school work. I might play an hour or two a week.

I cant wait for university life on the 5th, and I cant wait till june for the island paradise expansion pack (buildable/sailable houseboats!!!!!), and even more excited for the announced, but as yet untitled time travel expansion coming out next fall!!!

I love the game, but haven't played it in a year due to RL commitments. I download a lot of custom content, and the thoughts of having to get the game working again and having to catch up with all the CC I missed makes me hesitate to start again.

I got Sims 3 over winter break and it was ridiculously addicting. I think I logged almost 40 hours in my first week. -__- Thankfully I just about played it to death, so it hasn't interfered too much with my life. Still debating whether I want to get any expansions or not.

for some reason, I broke down and bought todays new store content; a chicken coop. its kinda fun for ambiance, and its fun pissing off the evil chicken, but I hope they are simply testing the waters for a farming expansion pack, like how they did with the magic items and supernatural expansion pack.
