Best game ending

I LOVE the ending of Portal 2! I like the credits song. It's catchy! I have to say my favorite video game ending though is the ending of the first Sly Cooper game (I know childish but that's how you know it's fun) especially if you collect everything and get the fully animated video. ^-^

But yeah, Portal is an instant classic, for sure.

My favorite was the original Knights of the Old Republic.

Not only is there a fantastic lead up to an EPIC lightsaber duel while a space battle rages overhead, but there is betrayal, fear, and redemption, which all come crashing together in one of many endings which all have a mind-bending twist. That game was just absolute magic, and made me a lifelong, die-hard Bioware fan.

 

Ending to Final Fantasy XIII (the first one). It was incredibly moving and touching! The ending song by Leona Lewis and the actual ending credits. I teared up a little bit.

 

Easily Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Finding out that The Boss was on your side the whole time changed everything, and the fact that she was a true hero all along was beautifully portrayed. It's one of the few things in gaming to make me come close to crying.

Plus the music that accompanies the ending is phenomenal and sends shivers down my spine even when I listen to it stand-alone.

 

That's funny cause I was gonna say the ending to the second one! Although they both had amazing endings. Also Kingdom Hearts 2 and 358/2 days or whatever it's called.

Portal 2 of course!

 

SO TRUE! I always thought of her as Snake's mother. And then there's the classic final twist.

Ocelot was triple crossing everyone in the game, he gave half of the philosopher's legacy to USA, he's ADAM and worked for the CIA all along.

Besides that, I pretty much like Final Fantasy X's ending. It has a great music and while it's very sad, it keeps hope after all. Silent Hill 3's normal ending was great too. It's simple, but at least you feel better for getting Heather out of her misery.

Like the description says - everybody lives through a suicide mission, and Shepard sticks it to the man.

 

The endings to the Zero Escape games are easily the best twists I have ever experienced.
999 shocked me with how the twists were in front of my nose the entire time, then VLR kicked me in the stomach with so much superscience it took me an extra two hours to understand what happened.

 

I agree with Therunawaybff on Mass Effect 2s ending. Had goosebumps after the first time I completed it and it sets up the 3rd game nicely.

 

I'm definetely with Owen on MGS3 having the best ending, the music combined with the scene in the field bought a tear to my eye, and then the plot twist at the end.

 

I did like Homeworld's ending, but that was because i was so glad that I didn't lose, and the music is always awesome throughout the whole game.

I agree on the first one.

But am I the only one who felt like the rest of the story didnt live up to the ending in two. I mean, it was like watching paint dry for six months, and then the wall explodes! . Sure it was awesome, but where was this awesomeness for the last 20+ hours lol.

 

I love Portal 2 but the ending to The Walking Dead made me cry.
