I use frontier. I get maybe 1mb per second download speed when they promised 30.

Maybe it's because I live in the middle of no where.

Oh, wait! What company is what you're looking for. Well, then, Century Link.

I have cable Internet from a company named Wave Broadband.

We have CenturyLink in my area. And I've heard more complaints than I can count since they bought out the local phone company in the late 1990s. Early on, it was phone complaints, but they've kept with the times, and people using them as an ISP often hate the company with a passion.

I went with Wave partly on advice of a tech I knew then who found the service better than CenturyLink.

One huge minus I saw with CenturyLink was just the cost. I bought the cheapest level I could, and I got more speed for the dollar than CenturyLink. Plus I was not required to sign a contract which was required by CenturyLink if one were to get the best possible price from them.

My big fear in life is that when I move next I may end up someplace where CenturyLink is the only option.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty much stuck with them. I live in a pretty isolated area, and the only other choice I have, based on my area, is DirecTV, and the signal goes out with them at the sign of a cloud, or HughesNet, which I have heard nothing but bad things about.

Yes, isolated areas are a real problem. Also that seems to be where CenturyLink is common. I know for some where I am CenturyLink is the only option. Indeed, I came close to that problem, because while I'm on a fairly major street, I was almost a little too far for the cable service to reach.

    Comcast.

I don't really have too many rants about it because it generally fast and working. But last week it was out a total of five times for about 30 minutes or more each time. They need to compose themselves, since when the internet is out, the cable and landline are also down and it's ridiculous to be down that much (first world problems).

Which one? I have a small company called Grande Communications for my home service.

I have AT&T and T-Mobile on my phones.
